So glad we stopped here for this food experience. I ordered the Reuben sandwich and my wife had the ribs. The Reuben was perfectly balanced with the sauerkraut and smoked meat. The homemade dressing was fantastic and the bread and cheese was spot on. The ribs were very tender and the baked beans were smoky flavor. We signed the guest book and Vig even sat down at our table and talked to us for a little while. Definitely stop here if you get a chance It’s one of the best barbecue places I’ve had in a while.

Fantastic local BBQ with an amazing owner! Messaged Vig to see if I could bring my family of 7 in 10 minutes before closing (taking a cross country trip and got stuck in traffic in St. Louis). He said no problem and was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. He blessed my kids with goodies and all of us with generous portions. The food and BBQ sauces were amazing! We had the sampler and EVERYTHING was awesome! The Turkey…best we’ve ever had! If you’re driving I-70, make a point of stopping here!

I stopped in on a road trip out west. I ordered the Viguan sandwich, I was informed that it was over 4 lbs of meat, it was huge. Not only was it huge, as I deconstructed it, the different meats had a great flavor. The staff, thinking the owner Vig was very friendly, offered to shrink wrap the leftovers. Over great experience, I just would eat a smaller sandwich next time.

Amazing food and fantastic service! The burnt tips were amazing and I dislike mixing my foods with a passion… but the cheesy corn ham taters were extremely good. The BBQ sauce was great, I had the mild. I love pickles also and they have amazing pickles! Extremely fast and amazing service. The owner is such a great guy! Felt homey, beautifully decorated. I loved it and if we go through KC again we will definitely be back ❤

What a great find; owner said he was “a one-man band;” cooks and serves up some SUPER barbecue! Brisket was smoked just right and the smoked turkey was equally great and very moist! Loved his mayo potato salad! Sandwiches are a measured by his “hand scale;” two handfuls is a half pound.

We happened to search for restaurants in Odessa and noticed the high ratings. It’s definitely worth the stop! Vig is friendly and accommodating. The flavor and tenderness is perfect. Turkey is so juicy and the smoked rueben (no bread) was to die for. So glad we I did a search and discovered Vigs. We will definitely be back!

Holy delicious!!! Traveling through Kansas City to O’Dessa on our way to Indiana and had to stop in and try some of Vig’s KC BBQ. SO glad we did! Amazing food, excellent service and portions out of this world. The Carolina reaper soaked pickles are a must try! The sauces were so good too. We had pulled pork, BBQ ribs, baked beans and a hashbrown corn casserole that was AMAZING! If you are traveling through the area do yourself a favor and stop in and see Vig! You won’t be disappointed!!!

Amazing BBQ inside a corner store in downtown Odessa. We drove all the way from KCK and we will be back. The burnt ends are the best, but the brisket is great too. Vig, the owner, smokes beef each day. Don’t miss the hidden gem.

This place is everything you’d hope it is. You’re greeted warmly by the guy who’s face is on the store. He treats you like a person and as soon as he knows your name uses it. So to be sure the customer service is A++. With that said, the food is JUST AS GOOD. oh my god the burnt end sandwich I enjoyed was heavenly. His sauces are made in house and are great. Overall DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MANS WONDERFUL ARTISTRY.(Update 2021) Came back to experience this with a friend it’s still here and just as good.
