I absolutely loved coming to Villa Italia Ristorante e Bar in Stamford Connecticut. We are first and second generation Italians living in Metro Detroit Michigan and of course we wanted to try some Italian food here because we have never been to Stamford before. I was more than happy with the choice to come to this restaurant. Ester and Martina were so great and also happen to be from the same place my mom’s family comes from, Isola di Ponza, which happens to be a very small island so it isn’t every day we meet people who also come from here. I can’t express enough how delicious the food was, beautiful restaurant design with different lights throughout the seating, and we loved the live music (make sure to check their website because they don’t have live music events every night). Also, I absolutely loved the cheesecake with ricotta Most people like very sweet New York styled cheesecake, but for me, I preferred it the way that they made it because I’ve never had it like this and it was absolutely delicious. This restaurant is fantastic for families and even dates too and has a great atmosphere. All of the staff was very nice and we loved everything about coming here. It’s definitely an excellent experience and I can’t wait to come back again next time I’m in Connecticut ❤️ It’s definitely a hidden gem and I would recommend this to anyone coming to Stamford or anywhere near it.

Great little Italian restaurant connected to the Hampton Inn & Suites in Stamford. Service is very friendly and their patio is absolutely adorable – perfect for a date night. I LOVED their Caesar salad. My steak was perfectly cooked but a little under-seasoned. My husband got two sandwiches which he found to be very tasty. We’ll definitely be back!

on my first time here I didn’t get the best first impression or experience. however, the food was good so I did decide to try it again and it was worth coming back. I was in town for work and was staying at the hotel so I ate here a few times. the food really is that good. and they are always packed for dinner. they have two different dining rooms, one by the lounge and another in the back that looks like fine dining. the bartender is one of the best people. so nice and accommodating. overall not a bad place. I do think that they have odd hours especially being connected directly to a hotel. the managers will try to not let you in even for a quick drink at night before close even though their hours of operation are still technically “open”.

We went to dinner here on Saturday night after July 4. It’s a good meal so there was nothing particularly to complain about. I should say at the onset that we eat gluten free and that there were several gluten-free options on the menu. But overall the restaurant was just OK. Service was OK. The food was OK. The location was OK. The timing was OK. So there’s really nothing in either direction to make me give it higher than three stars.

Delicious restaurant with fresh pasta made daily. I enjoy coming here for lunch and dinner. The pastas are great and the desserts are delicious too. I ordered the penne a la vodka with chicken and a cappuccino with biscotti. I’d recommend this place for anyone in the area looking for a delicious place to bring their family for lunch or dinner.
