Sweet little hidden gem of Tucson!! Locally owned by a young family. Highly recommend getting reservations ahead of time – there’s a very small waiting area that seats 2-3 people.

I strongly recommend. Service and food were amazing. We especially enjoyed the ceviche and tuna which are perfect for a hot summer day. Reservations are encouraged for dinner. We will definitely be back.

This is my favorite restaurant!!!! I love the atmosphere especially when the saxophone is playing. The food is fantastic and the service is awesome. They are happy to accommodate special requests. I am gluten free. I love that this restaurant is family owned.

I love this restaurants menu that has a large variety to select from, seafood, chicken, beef, and several vegetarian options and the server asked what level of spice I wanted mild, medium or spicy on my dish when I ordered. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was friendly and very professional. We had a party of 8 and everyone enjoyed the evening so much they intend to return again with friends who will be visiting them soon.

I have eaten in Peruvian restaurants all over the world for the last 25 years and I always have the Lomo Saltado. This was a good but not great version in my opinion. They used good quality ingredients but for my tastes I really wanted more sauce to the dish. I didn’t get that strong flavor of balsamic vinegar and soy sauce that I love so much with this dish. I make this dish myself at home and use much more so it’s not a criticism as much as my personal preference. The service was excellent and all of our meals were well done.

What an amazing, intimate anniversary dinner. The food was excellent, service was personal as each member of the family owned restaurant came to chat with us, and the saxophone player came and played just for us on our special night.

Food was delicious! I only wish the service was as good! One Star is being generous! 6:30pm Reservations , seated at 7pm, food arrived before drinks! First of 4 meals rec’d 10 min. before the other 3 meals! Not the way to enjoy a meal with friends. Not a place I’d recommend even though the food was good!

We were at this restaurant with a reservation at 6:30pm (week ago) Freida the server is the owner’s daughter and I did not feel to us like she cared for her Mexican customers who were at Villa Peru for the first time, she was more concerned with pleasing her white American customers than her Mexican American customers equally and it took 1 hr and 1/2+ to get our food and appetizers prior to that, of course to no surprise there was cero apology on her part, she never acknowledged the kitchens issues they were having and her follow up was less than perfect, her white American customers got served and her undivided attention but my guest (party of 6) were treated like they did not mattered, when the food finally got to us, like our appetizers they were semi-warm, the meals did not get to us for about an an hour and a half, just about the time they were about to close; we are avid foodies and have been to many restaurants and yes we have experience on what great customer service looks like at family owned venues, but Villa Peru definitely did not meet our expectations, poor service, poor tasting food and cold since the server didn’t bother to check on our meals status. The rib eye plate was luke warm and apparently they run out of one of their menu choices but told us about it an hour later, so one of my guests didn’t get that meal they wanted. This was a Saturday evening event, how are you not prepared for a weekend venue. Most definitely we do not recommend this place at all, what a burger has better service- please don’t waste your time with this awful service.
