Originally just wanted pizza to go, but they had the warriors game on so had to dine in. The atmosphere feels like you are eating at a spot that has been around for a long time. The walls are filled with historical San Francisco pictures. The service was quick, but it was strange that they gave me another plate and a knife and fork for my pizza. To me pizza is a finger food and you don’t use utensils. Now for the pizza. They use the correct pepperoni the smaller ones that curl up. The cheese game had some pull and tasted like a blend. The sauce and bread were average and did not stand out. The bread also was cooked enough so it would not flop.

This was severely disappointing. I had not had pizza in a while. It wasn’t worth the 8$. I was charged for a large coke…S2.50 for a can. The pepperoni are small , barely any cheese on this. Guess I’ll skip it next time. The only thing I like is the photos of historical SF.

We were looking for a quick bite for lunch and stumbled onto this place. Pizza was great with the crust being perfectly toasted. Cheese and sauce were also on point. Will definitely be back next time we are in town.

It’s hovering around a 3 star pizza. I like how it’s loaded on ingredients but my first impression on the “Homemade meatball” is DRY. The meatball was white and tasted like ground chicken breast honestly. The brown sausage was flat, dry, and SALTY. Why did they have to flatten it? The sauce, cheese, vegetables were fine. The dough was soft because it’s thin crust but it was a little chewy. The crust was good when it was hot but once it started to get cold, it was tough and chewy. For the price of $33.55 for an 18″ X-Large pizza (as of July 2020), I’d say it’s alright. Delivery service was also fast. It came 20minutes early. From the reviews, it seems like this place is a hit or miss with both the pizza and delivery. For me, the pizza was eh but the delivery was a hit. So, you can take your chances on this place. I will not come back to this place as I try to complete my quest to find good cheap pizza in SF.

Please allow me to preface this review and the photograph by stating that this in no way meant to slander or disrespect Village Pizzeria at all. I have been an avid supporter of Village Pizzeria since I was a child having grown up right down the street from the Clement Street location. When I lived in Los Angeles, for 8 years I considered their Larchmont location one of three to four options you have in Los Angeles to have decent New York Style Pizza. Not to mention that I also respect that Village has roots in all three of these aforementioned Cities and represent that. Hardly anyone outside of here represents San Francisco in the Pizza World. And the reason for that is that San Francisco is hardly even a REAL PIZZA CITY like there are all over the East Coast. I understand that.

Very good pizza, more Italian style than the usual. We got the thin ones. Recommended
