Usually stop by for wings on Sunday and tried a weekday. Totally different experience. Salad usually comes with 2 small dressing cups but this time only one. Ask for another (pointed at dressing cup) and received a large cup. Now I know why. Extra (large) cups are $1.35. Both salads were noticeably smaller and fewer tenders. Will be interesting to see if the next Sunday visit shows the same results.

I was greatly impressed with the hamburger. The spices were very good, and the portion of tater tots were astounding. Shorthanded, like the world is, so the service was somewhat slow and it was a bit dark inside. But the food was very good.

We returned yesterday for a meal. We were greeted at the door right away by a very friendly staff. He asked us if we wanted the bar or dining. The young gentleman said we could find our own seats as he followed us into the dining area. After we sat down he introduced the waitress who just came up behind him. She gave us menus and told us of the specials. She took our drink order came back with drinks to take our order. Food was great as usual. I had the grouper with rice. Waitress was great. It was not loud in the dining area like our usual “other” eatery on Friday night. We have not been here for about 7 months. All our many previous visits were all great. I would say we probably had 9 or 10 visits. It is about time for us to start coming back here more often as we go out almost every weekend. We have never been disappointed with the service or the food. One time the Chef came out to see us when we told the waitress we enjoyed the meal.

I had an awesome burger. The Brew Master is in the pictures. It’s looks a little smashed from me trying to be able to eat it. Great onion rings. Wife had a huge plate of Chicken Nachos that were good as well. Quite a few Beer choices too. Servicecwas fast and good. Glad we stopped in.

It’s been a slow progression over the last two years finding places to eat worthy of a good review. Not wanting Mexican or Italian, i did the ol google search and came across Village Taphouse. Seemed like the menu was diverse enough to entice Mr negative i.e. husband to give it a chance. Braving I-77 we arrived shortly after it opened. We didn’t order much, wr never do. I just hate left overs. At the suggestion of our bartender, i ordered the rubeben with a side of onion rings and Mr conisour of wings, yes he holds many titles, ordered a few different flavors and ate half my Ruben and onion rings. Mister connoisseur, ordered barbecue and raspberry habanero. He loved the raspberry habanero. Clearly he also loved my Ruben and my onion rings. So did I. Love the onion rings so much that we ordered a to-go order of them.the rubber was very good and I’d order it again. After I sample a few more dishes in the near future. Ok the onion rings are $4.95 and you only get 4. Just order them!!!! They are worth every penny. Mind you. We did go for lunch just as they opened, so fresh grease. Cook not rushed etc…so they were perfect. Again, we don’t eat alone, or order a lot, so for us to order take out after eating at a place. Says a whole bunch to us. Our bartender was great! Very helpful with making our selection with honest guidance. There is a tact for food selection help and she knows how to it. Ok enough said. I just hate that I don’t recall our bartenders name. I think, Jennifet???? Sorry for any poor English or spelling. Phone had mind of its own most times.
