I have only tried the Sicilian pizza here so far and it is truly an original Sicilian pie… Light and airy inside with the crispy buttery crust outside. That is not easy to achieve unless you’ve been doing it for years and have true pizza making experience. Don’t be fooled by the smallish appearance of the pie compared to franchised take out… 4 people split it and were stuffed! And it was made with quality ingredients, no comparison. We got takeout, but the inside was very clean and cozy with the ovens front and center to watch the action. We were welcomed immediately. The huge stack of takeout boxes on top of the oven is testimony that others feel the same as I do. I am really happy we stumbled upon this little place with big New York taste. I’m very much looking forward to trying several other things on the menu , as well as the traditional New York round pizza. I would love to see a cold, Italian sub offered on the menu (they use Boar’s Head meat). I haven’t had a decent one since I moved to Utah almost 18 years ago. Very nice , hands on owner as well, he is the chef. 🙂

Probably the best Pizza I’ve had in Utah. Strongly recommend! We tried their signature pizza, which was a scumptiously cheesy white-sauce pie with accentuating balsamic glaze and it was to die for, but we also tried a slice of the pepperoni and it was just as good. Well worth the money, give them a shot!

Nice, clean place. Big pizza, but pricy. We’d never had one of theirs before and were happy with it. The thin crust is so good. Big pepperonis. Not sure what cheese they used but we didn’t love the combination. Definitely NY style and well made. Overall, good pizza.

This is airy, crisp, and honestly refreshing NY pie. Cannot be beat anywhere in Utah. Owner is a great guy. He knows what he’s about. The pizza speaks for itself. Each slice of my large cheese pie folded perfectly, While still maintaining a nice crisp back home. The crisp is a crucial component that most pizzerias in the area are not well versed in. I’m a customer for life no doubt!

I was fortunate to live in New York for 2 years. I sought out and tried all types of Pizza. I was looking forward to try Villaggio Pizzeria. However, was a tad disappointed. I recommend reading their menu closely. They add ingredients to their pizzas that you don’t find elsewhere. For example, I ordered the Hawaiian Pizza. The pizza is cooked first, then they add cold shredded ham and pineapple on top and then sprinkle clove on top. Cold meat and clove RUINED this pizza. I found their dough/crust was extremely bland and flavorless. We ordered 2 pizzas. One was cooked correctly, my pizza’s crust was burned. I’m not sure I’ll go back. I recommend Pizzeria Tasso in Holladay. It’s not NY style, but the freshness and ingredients will knock your socks off.
