When Europe was in shambles during the aftermath of World War II, many immigrants came to America looking for a better life. They crossed the Atlantic, ending up on the east coast, and brought with them their amazing recipes that had been passed down for generations. This is why for many years the best Italian food (including pizza) was always on the east coast.
And, no, it’s not the water, but in the original recipes, they brought with them. In 1950 Vince Chianese opened his first restaurant in Pittsburgh, using the family’s authentic Napoli dough recipe.
Vincenzo’s Original has one-of-a-kind pizza dough that is unique to Vincenzo’s Restaurants.
Classic, no-frills pizza parlor specializing in jumbo pies, plus subs, salads & pastas. Based on 421 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.4 stars. Price $$

Pizza is epic, probably the best in SCV. Wings are a solid 8/10. Salads and the cheese bread are really good. Not a fan of the jalapeño poppers or the mozzarella sticks, the breading tastes off and feels like it was frozen. That being said, I came for the pizza, not the fried food. They have a decent size sitting area and a couple of chairs outside as well.

Came here specifically for the vegan option. However, staff cannot seem to get the orders right. I was not the only person who’s vegan pizza was made incorrectly. I was given a vegetarian pizza (with dairy cheese on it). Not only am I vegan, but lactose intolerant. The cheese was suspiciously stringy (ngl, vegan cheese isn’t stringy) so I asked if it was vegan and was told my order was made with dairy…absolutely distraught as I had consumed some already, unknowingly.

The pizza was incredible, perfect after a long day of travel! And when my jetlag caused me to leave my purse behind and I didn’t realize it until an hour later, Chris was so kind to search the restaurant, find it, and store it until I was able to return the next day. Highly recommend Vincenzo’s!

A friend took me here. This was his second visit. He couldn’t remember the name the night before, but he remembered how big the pizza was. Thankfully, the name Vincenzo’s came to him the next day.

Man let me tell you about ordering a large pizza. You are for sure getting a xlarge massive pizza. Pizza got a little to much flop but still very tasty. Got a good crust, great toppings. Pricey but worth it

I’ve been stopping by here for years. There are Thousands of Pizza joints around. Most are ok, some are great. Vinchenzo’s has been around for ever, obviously there is a reason for this. Really good Pizza and dough, wings, salads are also great. The OG in Newhall is my favorite but the other locations are also good if you’re not close by. Check out the family meal deals and lunch specials also.

My fiancé and I rode our Vespas to Cyclegear near by and we smelled the pizza and got a craving right away. You could smell the tomatoe sauce and basil all over the parking lot! We were not disappointed. This has to be the best Margherita napoletana I’ve had. We are picky, and we have tried other great pizzerias and Italian restaurants like Cosa Bona, Osteria La Buca, and Pizzeria da Michele and they couldn’t compare. It was delicious yet simple like real Italian food should be. I can tell that the people that work there are kind and care about the pizza they make. I like this place a lot, it isn’t pretenscious and no ego, just great honest pizza. We will be coming back again and I wish the business success. Grazie mille per la fantastica pizza!

I make my apizza from scratch; I have had great pizza from Massachusetts to the PNW, and I must say this; Vincenzo’s Pizza is on point up there with the best; next time I visit Southern California, I will go back

We frequented Vincenzo’s when we lived in Newhall forty years ago – it’s among the best pizzas I’ve had, so we stop by when we can when we are in the area. The restaurant is not fancy, but the pizza is too notch.
