Been visiting Savannah on and off for awhile and always passed by this area seeing people eating pizza out of these boxes. Finally took an opportunity to see what the hype was about. We were just up in New York not too long ago, so the taste of New York pizza was relatively fresh on my palate. We enjoyed the pizza, limited options, but if you looking for a slice of pizza you can order it here and won’t be disappointed. You can order pizza and customize it, but we just wanted some cheese pizza and we were very happy. Thin crust NY style pizza, I definitely prefer New York’s pizza, but this is close to it considering we are this far south, it is pretty good. Watched the guys throw some pizza dough through the window. Freshly made. You can either dine in and wait for a table, or order just to the right you can place an order to go or pick up. Can take awhile, they make them fresh and there are a lot of people ordering. So if in a hurry, plan accordingly.

A great and affordable place to grab a quick bite or a full on meal! Full disclosure on this…I’m not a huge pizza guy, BUT, when it’s done right, I love me some pie!! Vinnie Van Go Go’s is a Go back place!! From the great outdoor seating where the people watching is amazing, to the cool old bar inside (also, not bad a place to watch the peeps!) Seriously though, the staff here is always very polite, food is served pretty quick and the food is great! Thinner, crustier style pizza that comes in HUGE slices!!! Fold it in half and chow down. My only slight, and it’s not one that would keep me from going back, I wish Vinnie had MORE local brews on tap? Maybe some Two Tides, Service or Debellation to name a few? So, when in the district and you want to grab some good pie, Go, go to Van Go-Go’s

I keep coming back. It’s just so good, and I’m very into pizza. This is exactly how I prefer pizza. Has a great crispier style crust, that isn’t too thick. This time I ordered a cheese slice and another with black olives, spinach, and garlic, paired with a Peroni. Both delicious, well prepared and hit the spot. Staff is friendly/cool and the vibe is laid back and very chill. Vinnies is what a pizza place should be.

The pizza was pretty good. We ordered two pies to go and they were ready pretty quick. The pies are pretty dang big so keep that in mind when ordering. We had about 5 people and had leftovers.

Probably some of the best pizza I have had in a while. If your coming down to visit, you have to make a stop by here. Before the restaurant opened in the morning it had lines. We came during a week day and we’re able to snag a table outside. The toppings are juicy, the crust is warm and crunchy. Unfortunately the day we went the service was lacking a bit of motivation. Space is also tight if you’re bringing kids and a stroller. Nevertheless, if we ever come back, we will be back!
