Went here with some friends for dinner. We had reservations and were seated quickly. The waitress was really good. The atmosphere and decor is so so. Wife is gluten free and they were pretty knowledgeable on that aspect. Had spinach dip and calamari for apps, both were delicious. I had the filet and lobster tail which was very good, steak and lobster tail were cooked perfectly. Wife had the Salmon which was overcooked as well as her risotto. The bill was pretty high, we had a couple of cocktails and it was north of 300.00. Between the overcooked meal and the atmosphere, it brought the rating down to 3 stars.

My wife and I had dinner last night to celebrate my birthday. It was a wonderful experience. Our server, Valentina, was very friendly and on-the-ball at all times. They first brought out the complimentary starter deviled eggs, which we found delicious and unique. We began with an order of the okra which is only in-season at this time of year. The portion was huge, so plan to share; the picture below shows an almost half-eaten portion. Being from NC, I consider myself an okra aficionado, and this is the best I have ever eaten. Then we shared the Beefsteak Tomato special, which was very fresh, unique, and wonderful. I had the Delmonico steak — prepared and seasoned perfectly, with just the right amount of crust on the surface of the steak. Since it was my Birthday, they offered me a complimentary dessert, and I chose their Blueberry Crostini. Chef Tom Armstrong came out to chat with us, answered all my wife’s questions about how he makes the okra, and he shared how he visits the Farmers Market to pick out the vegetables personally. He came back out after they delivered the Crostini to see how I liked it. We had a fantastic time. This is a very special place for special occasions.

This was on my hub’s list of local steakhouses to try based on a coworker’s recommendation, so I saved it as a surprise for a birthday. My husband already knows how to cook a great steak at home (such as using sous vide methods), so our expectations were high. Service was impeccable, especially as they helped us navigate some dietary restrictions, and steaks were cooked to preference. It is a pricey treat so not an everyday thing for us, but worth the splurge for a special occasion. Looking forward to more special occasions that we can share with others, and opportunities to try more menu items.

The dinner choices are very limited to steak and Italian dishes. We dined in the colorful dining room which represented an atmosphere of wealth. The food was delicious with an entire platter full of your selections. I ordered the eggplant parmesan which tasted very fresh and authentic Italian. I brought home 3/4 of the meal. The platter could easily be shared by two people. The only downside is that the prices are a bit higher than average compared to other Italian restaurants. My advice is for patrons to share appetizers and meals and perhaps a dessert and then the prices are great.

The food was good, but the prices were insanely high. I ordered 3 old fashions with Basil Hayden’s and each was $45. I was expecting $30 max, but the surprise of $150 for 3 drinks was crazy. I’ve never been charged so much for a drink that wasn’t on the hundreds of dollars a bottle range and I’ve been to many Michelin star restaurants with cheaper drinks.

Loved our waitress Valentina! She was SO SWEET with great customer service. If we hadn’t waited almost and hour for our food this would be 5 Stars. No other complaints…we were just hungry! Lol.

My birthday dinner was amazing! Petite filet, mashed potatoes, and creamy spinach. Plus, free dessert. It was a Tuesday and when we got there they were not busy. But later they had way more guests than anticipated. Note: Please make a reservation so those who did make reservations don’t have to wait all night!

Rented out the private dining room for a big celebration and it was lovely. Our food was fabulous (I had the ahi tuna and everybody else raved about their food as well), and for dessert we got HONEYSUCKLE ICE CREAM YOU GUYS. It was definitely one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Our server was very attentive without being intrusive, and management checked in on us also. They are pricey but it is absolutely worth it.

I’ve driven by Vinnie’s many, many times and always wondered about it. Today was finally the day I got to try it, and I was very impressed. Everything was clean and well taken care of, including the bathroom (which had nice toilet paper, although it was missing a baby changing station). Our waiter was personable and an excellent photo taker, which is nice to have! The food, though, was really the star of the evening. The crab dip was creamy and crabby, the onion rings were big and juicy with the most delicious batter I’ve ever tasted. The Caesar salad had dressing they mixed in beforehand and the croutons, although quite large, were perfectly light and fluffy while still being crispy. The bread was also excellent, with a slightly sweet taste to the exterior. The entrées were delectable. I had the Delmonico ribeye with the smoked Gouda potato gratin and the meat was so perfectly cooked. The waiter asked everyone to cut open their meat at the table to make sure it was at the right temperature (everyone’s was), which was nice, especially given the one review where the guy complained about his well-done steak, which he obviously ordered that way. My husband’s salmon was excellent with and without the beurre blanc sauce he added. My father got the prime rib, and it was just as tender as it should be. The au jus that came with it expertly complimented it without overpowering it. We got the white chocolate cheesecake and crème brûlée for dessert, which were also very tasty. I’d definitely come back here again happily!
