Let me tell ya… this place has EVERYTHING on point. As soon as we walked in, the hostesses was excited to see us. She sat us at our table and then we fell in love with our waitress. The food was AMAZING. I’ve lived in Birmingham for 5 years and this was the best experience/food I’ve e experienced. The cucumber mojito and dirty martini was perfect. The oysters were perfect. The penne pasta was perfect. START TO TO FINISH… PERFECTION. Hands down, best place in Birmingham.

Found this place in a whim when I was looking at the menu at Chez Lulu. Decided to try it out – pleasantly surprised and wondering why I had never heard of it. Goat-cheese stuffed artichoke hearts are creamy and rich, calamari is perfectly cooked and not rubbery and the spicy sauce with pepperoni was excellent. Entrees were amazing – couscous is light and flavorful, vegetables are roasted and the sauces…wow. Get the pasta! Desserts shine and are all made in-house. Recommend the trifle! Only thing “okay” was the drinks, honestly. Not well balanced and some of their specialty martinis just don’t work well, in my opinion. Overall, highly recommended and I’ll definitely return.

My husband and I ate here on a Saturday night and the outside atmosphere was very romantic with tree lights and white table linens. We had oysters and the artichoke dip…yummy! Then we had the Mediterranean and strawberry/walnut salads…again amazing For our main course my husband ordered the hangar steak, which was delicious and I ordered the tenderloin medallions, which should have been great but the temperature was wrong. They made it up and comp’d the order, so that was great!

Nestled in the quaint English Village area of Mountainbrook (Birmingham,) the restaurant sits on a corner with a great view of a cute neighborhood. Our experience was outside in the courtyard, so I can’t speak much of the interior. They appear to have a couple of indoor wine bars with an array of fine art.

This was our 2nd visit. It was so good the 1st time, we thought to go again. We sat outside, at the last table on the covered patio. A reservation is definitely needed, and if we hadn’t had one, the table would have been gone. We both had salads as a 1st course. My wife had the beet/apple one and loved it. I had the Caesar, but the dressing was bland. It was supposed to have anchovies, but I couldn’t taste them. It took 40min. for them to arrive, which was a bit long. As an entrée my wife had the fish curry. She loved it. I had the Sesame crusted Tuna, and it was cold, as if it was prepared well in advance of the curry and just sat on the counter. Worse yet, the fish was tasteless. We had coffee that was lukewarm, and we shared a fruit cobbler that had no fruit. I don’t think there will be a 3rd visit.

like almost all restaurants and bars, the ambient noise is almost unbearable when the place is over half full. People don’t really understand how damaging/unhealthy this can be and a a tinitus sufferer, I had to leave before I wanted to. So a loss of business on their part.
