Probably the best restaurant I’ve been to in a very long time. A destination! Small, nicely laid out in three partially separated spaces. Nice wine selection, food is delicious and creative. Violinist plays classical tunes, chef comes out and sings a piece from an opera. Can’t wait to get back.

A truly phenomenal night- From the traditional pasta dishes to rustic rare specials, Violino Ristorante Italiano made our wedding anniversary an evening to remember. Our Chef was a true artist (in the kitchen and out) and serenaded us as a special treat. Cheers to your family-forward fine dining experience.

My family and I had the pleasure of dining at Violino Ristorante for my mother in law retirement’s dinner. The atmosphere is welcoming, the quality and taste of the food is so delicious. A very unique touch they have at this place. Thumbs-up for the service as well, well coordinate, polite and friendly. It’s a pricey restaurant but if you want to have a fine dinning experience, Violino Ristorante is the right place to enjoy!

Fantastic! The staff was very attentive and friendly. Everyone genuinely seemed to enjoy their job. You can definitely tell this establishment values their employees. The violinist was remarkable! She played very well and was so very elegant. The meal was, by far, the best I’ve had in years anywhere that I’ve traveled and definitely the best in Winchester. The kitchen staff, from what I could see, worked well together. They almost appeared to be in a choreographed dance.

Had been looking forward to trying Violino for quite some time now, and my wife’s birthday was a perfect opportunity to give it a go. The reviews tempted us to drive 45 mi to give this a try, but it was worth it! My wife’s girlfriend came along to celebrate.

What’s not to like….the food today, as in many previous visits, was wonderful; the service was attentive, personable and pleasingly professional. The overall ambience of this family owned and run restaurant is intimate and pleasing. Franco and Marcela and their children (and grandchildren!) deliver a consistently excellent product. Unbeatable – this restaurant sets the gold standard; I travel for a living, and the owners have beaten any Italian dining experience I have had in Rome or indeed London.
