The atmosphere is a little loud/crowded, however, the food is absolutely worth it. This was some of the best truly authentic and flavorful Mexican food that I’ve ever had. Even there chips and salsa were just amazing. So fresh! I had the hillbilly bowl with chicken, rice, and cilantro and everything about it was fresh, juicy, and delicious! They have really good margaritas as well!

The waitress was nice and very attentive to us. The quesadillas were pretty darn good. My wife enjoyed her tacos. We ate on the patio out back and it was hot, but with their fans it was pleasant. We would definitely come back

This restaurant offers some of the best and most authentic Mexican/ American cuisine I have ever enjoyed. All are available for dine-in or to-go. The drinks, especially the margaritas, concocted by the amazing bartenders here are a specialty and very tasty. Thursday happy hour drink specials until 7 p.m. make this venue extremely busy and very popular. It’s a very small venue for indoor and patio dining and at times can require a wait, but the turnover is fairly quick and worth the wait. Portions are quite generous, and prices are reasonable. I’ve never ordered anything I didn’t enjoy, however I steer clear of the very spicey dishes. The Wet Burrito, Nachos Supreme, and Mexican Pizza are some of my favorites. Wheelchair patrons may not find indoor dining available due to the limited space, but the patio out back may be an option.

Food was GREAT. I highly recommended their taco salad. My only suggestion if you get their queso, it needs more spice! Lol! Other than that though it was really packed, which I totally get. The food was good, the location was convenient and the waitstaff was really friendly. We did have about every waitress in the place wait on us because it was so busy, but they kept our order straight and were all so nice even though it was hot and busy. And the food was good. Would definitely go back next time I’m in the area.

FANTASTIC FOOD!!!!! We had the 3 Amigos appetizer, chicken fajitas, stark fajitas and a Mexican pizza. Really good food!!!! Hefty portions as well. The Teremana Margarita are great and strong. It’s a lively environment for dinner. VIP will be a regular stop when we are in town. LOVE IT!!!!

We met our party there at 5 pm so we were in two separate cars. First, the parking lot behind restaurant is $7 per hour, minimum 2 hours. So we’ve already spent $28 before even getting in the door. The hostess said it was a 30 minute wait. It was over an hour before we were seated. The food was pretty good but not worth waiting an hour outside in the heat for. Oh, I got a $63 parking ticket because I was 2 minutes past my 2 hours!

Revisiting an old favorite of mine at St Pete Beach. VIP has always provided high quality excellent Mexican food, great drinks and a super fun atmosphere. This accounts for their popularity but they are worth the wait. This is the original VIP and will remain in my heart the best. Got the Ahi tuna wrap and the hillbilly Bowl both were very tasty.
