We picked this place for a late lunch because we saw it was more crowded than other places we had passed, and thought that was a good sign. It turned out to be a very nice lunch, great service and even better, reasonable prices. My friend had fried trout which came with cole slaw , loads of fries and very large hush puppies, all for $10 which is about the cheapest we’ve seen lately. I had Bar-B-Que which was decent. The place has a very homey, small town feel which I love. The bathroom was very clean. If I visit Urbanna again, this is where I will eat.

If I could give 0 stars that would explain my experience. My wife and I are both retired veterans and picked this place for our 4th of July place for lunch. Our waitress started off with attitude right at the beginning. We ordered bloody Mary’s…tasted like metal and dish soap. Asked for a water…never brought it. I ordered the crab sandwich…a patty on a bun. No lettuce tomato…sauce…nothing $15. I had better meals in Afghanistan. Then asked for napkins got attitude and never brought any…amazing. Hopefully my tip of $0 reflected the experience.

I like to support the local businesses in Urbanna but I was tempted to leave a one star review. 3/5 of our dishes had many small hairs in them. Someone needs to stop trimming their pubes in my food. I don’t understand how there could be that much hair. It was at the point where there was more hair than food. I must have found around 5-10 hairs in my food. Wouldn’t recommend if you don’t want to cough up a hairball.

After reading reviews about this place, it’s like I came to a different restaurant completely. Came here about midday. The food was ok, but the service was terrible. It took a really long time for anyone to come to the table to give menus, and even longer to come back to take our order.

We saw the buffet advertised for New years on Facebook and decided that’s what we were doing today. As always the food was so delicious . My boys were fat and happy when we left. And for the record the tea did not need all that sugar my son put in it. He’s just EXTRA . Thank you all . Til next time . Xoxo

Not a good experience. Service not friendly. They were closing at 2 for some reason and started turning people away at 20 till 2. Even if they have great food, we won’t be back.

The food quality and the prices didn’t match well. Our server didn’t get ordered food out in a timely manner and nearly forgot part of my wife’s meal.

So we went for breakfast on Friday and they were out of almost everything. The wait staff is amazing and we go mostly for nostalgia but it has really gone down since we were kids and the quality of food is not that great anymore.

Quite pleased with my dining experience. The food was tasty, more than ample, and priced quite reasonably. Service was prompt and fun. My waitress reminded me of the character Lily on the language app Duolingo: no nonsense, pleasantly nasty, effective. I’ll be back.
