Nice little restaurant on S. Washington St. but with the super cozy atmosphere inside you would think you were dining on King St. The food and the service were both absolutely amazing. $3 per person gets you as much of the grilled house bread as you want. The steak was cooked to perfection. Definitely worth checking out!

Wonderful cocktails, delicious food, and friendly service. Definitely order the Smokey in Fashion cocktail and the lobster fries! My only quibble is that the tables for two are comedically small. Regardless, we really enjoyed dinner here and will certainly be back.

Walking up to the restaurant, it has a sign on the door saying to use the other door and has an arrow that confused a lot of customers, not just me. Then I got seated and was asked if I would be willing to move. ok, no problem. I got moved to a table by the window, but the ledge was covered by ants that even got on me a few times. I ordered a ‘keep your gin up’, and it was a nice refreshing drink. I then ordered the grilled house bread & fancy butter…. it never arrived. I also ordered the carrots with Harissa, and they were SO hard, I could barely cut the carrots with my butter knife. I told my waitress, and she came back with the bibb lettuce stack, and it was delicious. BUT! I found a thick black hair towards the end of eating the salad and was utterly disgusted! I didn’t say anything because I don’t like to be ‘THAT’ customer. But, customers should be put in this situation either.. so then comes the steak and side of fries. I asked for the steak to be medium… the steak came out well done, and the fries were mushy and not crispy. towards the end of dinner, I ordered a Moscow mule, and it was nothing close to being a Moscow mule. It was sour and disgusting, I told the manager as she was passing by about the drink and just asked for the check so I could get out of there. I would like to say that the manager and waitress did their best to make it a good experience and were SUPER friendly. I would like to recommend that the owners have the kitchen and bar trained more for they are not putting good products out. I had seen this restaurant on an Instagram story and was excited to try it, but now I wish I would have just gone somewhere else. The only thing that was good during this dinner was the cup of wine (Cotes Du Rhone) that my friend had.

Virginia’s Darling was an excellent place to celebrate my anniversary. We chose to split a meat and cheese board, the grilled bread and a main course. With the cocktails we both had, it was an amazing experience. I cannot wait to go back!

Cute spot for cocktails and snacks! We ordered the dates, bread, olives, lamb, and a salad, and everything was delicious—the standouts were the bread, olives and lamb for sure. The wine list was smaller than we had anticipated and the selection was a bit disappointing, but we managed to find a few we liked. We appreciated they let us try samples beforehand.

NO PURSE HOOKS UNDER THE BAR?!?! Seriously, how hard is that to install. Also the bar stools are uncomfortable. I didn’t realize I had an issue with the size of my butt until sitting in one of those yellow torture devices. The menu is very limited, also, and not enough of a bang for the buck since the entrees don’t come with a side or anything.

Wow! What an amazing spot Nicole and her team have built. The food, the wine list, the atmosphere, and the mission are exactly what we needed in south Old Town. While there are numerous dining options, there are none like Virginia’s Darling.
