This is a small restaurant right next to the shop rite. The decor for the restaurant is unique, and so are all the tables and chairs that are painted with very vibrant colors. The staff is friendly. The food is a bit bland and hence the 4 stars. Could have been a bit more spicy/hot. But that’s just our palate. Your experience with the food may be a bit different if spice/hot is not what you are looking for in food. Dont get me wrong, the food was good. Would definitely recommend a d would also try it again, but this time, I will request them to raise the heat level for the food.

Viva Guacamole is a nice place, but the service tonight was terrible and the food is only meh. There was a young man working who was very hardworking and well-intentioned, but then two young women (a waitress and a cashier) who were standing around doing nothing — we ordered from the waitress and she didn’t so much as bring us water until we asked if she could bring us the drinks we ordered ten minutes before. The food is fine, but lacking in flavor for the most part. My chorizo had no taste at all. I prefer Leyendas de Mexico in Parsippany, but Viva Guacamole is fine too — but I probably won’t be back.

This is my absolute favorite place! Had the mixed shrimp and chicken tortillas. The sides were beans and rice with guacamole and sour cream. The tortillas came out wrapped in foil in a woven basket. The food was so full of flavor. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The place is beautiful and it was packed. I understand why. I highly recommend this place.

My husband and I come here a lot. Food is delicious . Service? It depends . Lately there was this guy who was kind of bossy , and at the same time who didn’t know exactly the menu. For example my husband always gets the seafood soup, and this server started to ask, what kind of seafood, do you know it’s a big bowl (they only have one size), and other things that honestly were annoying and senseless. (I don’t remember this guy’s name). We were on point on not going there anymore, because every time he was either forgetting something or annoying us.

Yeah so, half our bowl of guacamole was taken up by a guacamole seed which apparently, according to our waiter, is deliberately placed there. It’s not even artistic, and makes for difficult scooping of the guacamole. Just no. No no no. I know prices are up and cost of living is insane, but come on! It’s was not cheap either at $11.95!!! Not coming back here

The service was good, the waitress was kind and polite, we ordered the chips with guac which were really tasty and a good portion. For the entrees we ordered the lomo saltado and pollo saltado, they were juicy and very flavorful. Will definitely come back.
