Amazing Mexican Cafe in historic Opelika that is well worth the visit. Loved the decor! Especially liked the clean, crisp uniforms and smiling staff. Great atmosphere. Enormous menu. Very quick and courteous service. Crazy good salsa. My food was delicious and fresh. (The bar looked interacting but didn’t have an opportunity to try a beverage.) Will definitely stop by during my next trip through the area!

My son and I were in Opelika on a Friday night and ate here because a lot of the other restaurants were closed (it was around 9pm). They were very busy but the service and food were still decent. I’ve eaten at pretty much every Mexican restaurant in Auburn / Opelika and I would say this is the 3rd best I’ve had. The food wasn’t as flavorful as my normal go to Mexican restaurants but still much better than most of the others I’ve tried in the area.

As native California transplants to Opelika, Alabama, we found most of their dishes and salsas tasty to our palates. This location is better, to our liking, than the one on Frederick. We like the more upbeat ambiance, too.

I went to have a $6.95 lunch special. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I was impressed with the clean and lively appearance of the restaurant. I was also impressed with the prompt and hospitable service. The salsa that you get with the chips was rich and thick. You know how some of those sauces drip off the chip and all over the menu and table on the way to your mouth? Not this one. I had the chili rellano and tamal, lunch #1, which comes with rice and beans. I’ll try something else next trip. Menu is well illustrated.

Enjoyed our first visit. Cheese dip was the best in town. We got a pitcher of the Hawaiian Margarita. It was tasty!! We will definitely be back for a round 2. Love dining and enjoying the downtown area!!
