Two years ago, Simona Sarpa moved from Napoli, Italy to let Tampa Bay taste a little piece of Neapolitan tradition. In a kitchen she follows the tradition of the Neapolitan cuisine passed down through the generations.
The Viva Napoli kitchen relies mostly on imported products from Italy to meet the authenticity of the Neapolitan cuisine. The centerpiece of the kitchen, a large wood fired oven, was built in Napoli from the famous “biscotto di Sorrento” stone to perfectly cook the Neapolitan style pizza. Italian flour results in pizzas with soft crust and beautiful airy pockets that add a delightful crunch.
True Italian ingredients add their uncompromising flavors to each dish, from Italian cheeses and herbs to sausages imported from Napoli.

Atmosphere was remodeled, looks way better inside than the current pictures, the outside of the restaurant did not hinder the experience. Pictures of the food are attached except for the meatballs. All was excellent!! The sauce especially, very light unlike other pizza sauces. Overall 10/10 highly recommend!!

Food was OK but smaller portions. My 13 year old rarely finishes an adult meal but was able to this time plus dessert. No bread service. Overall service was fine though they seemed to only have one server for the entire dining room. Small, quaint place in an older part of South Tampa.

Pretty good food. Terrible location. The chicken Parm was mostly good but had quite a bit of gristle. My wife got a pizza that was good, although one side of it was burnt…like solid black. The part that wasn’t burned had a decent chew on the crust and delicious toppings. We didn’t feel safe here at all. And the parking lot is in disarray. The stones around the sign were all over the place. This spot has potential, but unless they change substantially, we won’t be back. The toilet in the bathroom was also disgusting.

Authentic Napoli style pizza and experience right here in ‘Merica! Don’t waste your time going all the way to Naples Italy, it’s right here thanks to the great family that runs this place.

Good pizza, clear language barrier. Ordered two items, confirmed both items twice with staff – who acknowledged the cordon blue bites, yet they never came. When questioned about it, just got a shrugged. Worse was that I pointed ot item on menu. Totally bizarre situation.

What a hidden gem in south Tampa… If you are looking for AMAZING Italian food … This is your place. I ordered the lobster ravioli w/ vodka sauce and pepperoni pizza and it was so incredible. I’m from NJ and I have not found a place that even compares to the Italian food there until now! … I’m so impressed with the freshness and flavor of the food. I’m so glad I found this place, my daughter said if she could give it a million zillion stars she would and I agree.

Awful, staff was slow took them 15 minutes to seat us with no one waiting, took them another 15-20 to bring us water another 20 to collect orders and then had to be reminded to bring a drink, French fries (came after meal complete) and a glass of wine lasting another 30.. add it up over 1.5 just to get to food now if it was spectacular than ok but the Food was incredibly bad….when food wasn’t even tough waitress didn’t even ask why…..then they saved the best for last..apparently their cash register or CC machine was broke..basically held us hostage for almost 30 mins waiting…brutally bad… Service food quality food cost . Read so many good reviews I actually looked to see if there was another store because no way it was this one. Won’t eat there again and recommend you find another as well..if not bring lots of time lots of patience and leave your taste buds at home…

We drove 30 min to this place! And it was so worth it!! Very nice and friendly stuff, we were served very quickly and the food was amazing! We had Impepata di cozze(mussels), lobster ravioli, Crudo e rucola(prosciutto pizza) and Al Tartufo (black truffle cheese pizza). Everything tasted so good! We will be back for sure

Haven’t been here in a while but it did not disappoint. My husband and I took my in-laws here and they loved it. My go to is the misto salad and margherita pizza The rest of the table had pasta and said it was fabulous. We will def be going back more frequently! It’s one of those hidden gems in south Tampa. #SunshineReviews
