Normally I’d say a sandwich is a sandwich, whatever, but this place has the most amazing delicious sandwiches. Even though it was busy and there was a line, the atmosphere was very relaxed.

Vivola is my absolute favorite place to eat! The guys work so hard for being so understaffed it’s crazy. Their beautiful sandwiches are a sight for sore eyes and are even better in your tummy. i have never been disappointed by a soup or sandwich and will always make drive just for that good flavor! I can’t say enough good things about this place, i just love them so much ♥️

I can’t believe that I didn’t know this sandwich shop existed in a shopping plaza I have visited regularly. They have been there since 2001, longer than I have lived in St Louis County.

They got 5-stars from me before I could get out of the door, the energy and vibe coming from this shop is absolutely unmatched, some of the best customer service I have experienced. That being said, the food, the food. I’m crying into a take out container (real tears were shed over this masterpiece), this is the best sandwich I have ever had, I can’t wait to explore their menu. I had the Hot Beef sandwich, had the chefs make it up however they like, and let me tell you what, they did not disappoint. If I could give them 6/5 stars I would, this is going to be my new go-to sandwich spot.

First time in and I’d definitely be back. When I approached I first noticed how long the line was… that was a sign that there was some good food ahead…. and my assumption was right on! Family owned & very friendly staff. Sandwich was very tasty and full of meat. Thanks to Brett for recommending the honey mustard with BBQ sauce on the BBQ beef…delicious.

Vivola Express! WOW! Hands down the best deli style sandwich shop I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. They make their meatballs and roast beef daily. The salads (not on the menu) may mot be for those on a diet however if you want flavor…damn, they’re good. I get a salad similar to an Italian sandwich topped with both creamy Italian and sweet balsamic. Multiple deli meats, multiple cheeses. Simply the best salads ever. Roast beef and meatballs are fantastic. Try their special Taco Sandwich–also not on the menu. I’ve visited 9 countries and 42 states and for me, it is the best deli sandwich I’ve ever tried…by far…none even close. Harold’s in Nutley (?) New Jersey is good…real good but still not in the same realm. In fact the only sandwich to hit the same high mark is the Big Mama Burger (not on regular menu but sometimes on the Monday burger menu) at The Foundry in Manchester NH and even that is just barely its equal. There is a big name franchise sub shop in the same building that is empty when Vivola is open. Be aware, long lines, sometimes right out the door. Limited hours too…10-2:00 I think. Arrive well before or after the lunch rush. The business is family owned. Dad on the register and 2 very nice brothers slicing meats one sandwich at a time. VIVOLA EXPRESS IS THE BEST. For me, they get a firm tie with Mori Motos in Hawaii which is a much more expensive full service sit down restaurant. Try the Taco Sandwich if you like flavor…lots of flavors! I fly from NH on business and make a point to visit every time. If you find a better sandwich shop, please tell me. I want to go there!

This is my favorite sandwich shop anywhere. If you haven’t tried it, go. It’s worth waiting in line, and the line usually goes fast. I got the hot Italian beef this time, and it was piled high and delicious. Unique side options are awesome, and the people that work there are very friendly and welcoming. You can get whatever sandwich you want made, or let the masters do their thing behind the counter, and no matter what you won’t be disappointed.

Was just in St Louis for a couple of days and was craving a good sandwich. Read a lot about this place online so I had to go.
