The Vocelli Story begins in a mining town in Zonguldak, Turkey where Varol Ablak was born. Vocelli Pizza then flourished to Essen, Germany and then on to Lynn Lake, Canada followed by West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky and eventually settling in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The first time we came here the owner was working and he was super kind/freindly and food was great. Tonight we came and the cashier who also doubled as the cook was really impatient, unfriendly, and throwing things around while cooking our food. He was the only person there it seems and I dont think thats fair, given how busy they are. Hoping the hire on more staff to help out!

This would be a one-star review, however, they got 2 stars because the red sauce is very good without being overly sweet or dense. The reason for the low review? It took 2.5 hours and a few phone calls to get the pizza I ordered. The first one didn’t come with sauce and was the wrong pizza completely. My spouse’s sandwich had so much cheese it seemed like they stuck a stick of string cheese in there and then slightly melted it.

I have ordered here several times and tonight was the first bad experience but man was it bad. My Buffalo chicken pizza had nothing but stale cheese and cold chicken. No Buffalo and no sauce. Then my order of “in house” chocolate chip cookies wasn’t even a cookie OR chocolate chip. It was some pumpkin spice cake thing. I’m extremely disappointed and this will be my last time ordering here.

My food was terrible. It was the driest most lackluster sandwich I’ve ever tasted. The bread was dry and they toasted it which just made it hurt my mouth. It was tasteless and barely had any meat. The cannolis were also dry and tasted like they had been refrigerated too long. I couldn’t even eat them. I’ll never eat there again.

Arrived at the time the order was supposed to be ready. The only employee there didn’t even start the order yet. Got a Mac n cheese pizza. Got home and there was no Mac on it. Apparently they were out of noodles and didn’t tell me or ask if I wanted something else while I was there waiting.
