Small place with limited seating serving up some great west African cuisine right next to the Consulate General of Nigeria. It’s my first time trying west African food and it was great! The goat stew and fufu goes together very well. Very flavorful, would come back again and try all their other items.

I just had an awesome meal today. Boneless goat stew with Jaloff rice. The staff member was very pleasant and honest about the different combinations. I will go again to try another combination.

Good food, lots of stress. To me the flavors were new. The person behind the counter helped me pick something based on what I like.

Thank you for such a wonderful meal and overall experience!! A+++ service all the way!! Food was delicious and service was impeccable. We ordered for Thanksgiving dinner and gave a very short timeframe. They were so sweet and gracious, walked us through the order, so although order was placed online, they took the time to ensure everything was correct. Food, delicious!!!

This is not a Nigerian food outlet. Once you understand this, it makes it easier to appreciate the food objectively. Fufu went down smooth but portion was “shrinkflated”. Egusi was flavorful, edikanikong was just a regular vegetable sauce, suya was crisp and authentic. Less meat than i would have liked in the soups but tasty and soft not chewy. All in all great representation of African food, keep it up. NYC rents are crazy so please support our own to keep them around.

Great vegan option. I am not an expert for African food, but for whoever wants to have a more authentic experience with food, it seems like the place.

Pricey for what they provide. I got the medium box combo. Coconut rice was good. This is easy to cook. The diced chicken was hard as though it wasn’t cooked today. Did not feel fresh. Not tender at all. The sauce is tomato and onion base with light spice for flavor. This is easy to cook. Portion is enough for like a dinner. This was all for $25. Would’ve been a 4 star if it was like 15 honestly

I saw the reviews and thot this place was good. I ordered a tray of Egusi, Jollof rice and Chicken. The food was incredibly overpriced. I thought the portion wld make up for it but when I went to collect it, the trays were not full at all. Instead of a tray of fried or oven baked chicken, I was given a tray of small sliced cubes of white plain chicken in stew. When I tried to complain especially considering I had spent over $400, the madam that owns the place started gaslighting and arguing with me. Nonetheless, I delivered the food to the party that required it and first spoon taste of the soup was a hard bite of sand. The soup had so much sand, we ended up having to order another tray of Egusi from a different restaurant called Tasty which charged only half what we were charged at Voila Afrique. I would not recommend Viola Afrique at all. It was great mistake for me. Totally not worth it !!!! You can get bettet quality for far less.
