My favorite sushi place next to sushi king in Newport News! I’ve been coming here for over a year and the sushi quality is always consistent, cannot recommend this more. They have the best crab rolls and deals!

The lady that works the front counter, to put it nicely, is very unpleasant. I come in every now and then to grab a door dash order so you’d think that they would be somewhat grateful for helping their business. I’ve never eaten there before, and from just how she comes off, has ruined my desire to ever spend a dollar there

I just moved to the area a few weeks ago and been eating at hibachi express in newport news and yorktown and have loved it. I decided to try volcano due to it being right up the street from me. I regret it. Food is so bland rice is bland they give a tiny container of the sauce not even enough to go on half the rice. I’m so disappointed, even when you walk into establishment it smells funky looks run down not very inviting. I’ll stick to hibachi express. If you want good hibachi and great service and good serving size go to hibachi express if you want bland food go to volcano

I made a mistake and placed an order at this location. I live in a different city almost 2 hours away. So when I realized the mistake I immediately called to cancel and I tried to apologize but the woman who answered the phone hung up on me SEVERAL TIMES! I even asked to speak to a manager and she said the manager wasn’t here and hung up again! She was very rude and unprofessional! Of this is how she treats people on the telephone I don’t want to know how she does face to face!

Great Hibachi chicken, noodles and veggies. Ordered the teriyaki beef but they did not give me teriyaki beef. Just got regular beef. Not top sure on the why the sit down area isn’t open but went in to eat and had to order to go. Service was a bit lacking as well. Lady who took order seemed to be tolerating my presence.

Great tasting food, really large portions for the price. Ginger salad dressing was a little disappointing – seemed to be missing something in its flavor – maybe more peanut oil or sesame oil or soy sauce? But hibachi chicken and veggies are delicious. Simple fried rice is good – added some teriyaki sauce to give it some more flavor. Forgot to get pic of gyoza, but they are pretty good but a bit pricy.

In one word: Odd! Fountain machines are in the back of the restaurant and give the perception of “self-serve”, but it isn’t self-serve. Alternatively, there’s a refrigerator with bottled drinks. Service is decent, food is also adequate… just nothing to write home about. However, food is served in to-go boxes when dining in!!!! Also, only plasticware is handed out. Lastly, fountain drinks taste like at least 30% chlorine, which isn’t uncommon in the US, but still disgusting and has no place in 2018. Get a water filter!!

So I ordered a bento box as usual through doordash. Its like $15 for the box. I always get free delivery since its free over a $15 order. Well i guess doordash applied a discount on to my account (legit i had 0 idea) and it took the service fee off ($3). So i paid about $22 which is pretty normal. I just got a email stating my order was canceled. I called the restaurant and asked what happened and he said he wasnt making any money off my order so he canceled the order and told me hes not honoring any discounts with doordash anymore. He was so rude about it! I told him on my end it doesnt show any fee taken from the restaurant, only the service fee (maybe it goes to them? idk) but he said he cant help me and hung up. Its sad cause ive been going to them for YEARS and they seriously just lost a customer cause they want to be rude.

I recently made a purchase at this restaurant and spent $93 and I asked for Sriracha sauce. The man told me I had to pay an extra two dollars and some change for Sriracha sauce. I normally get it for free when I come there , I guess they’re under new management but I feel if I spent $93 I couldn’t get any Sriracha sauce, I will not be spending my money there again. The food doesn’t even taste the same. I’m guessing it’s new management.
