Their hours might not be for everyone, but what they lack in the amount of time they’re open they make up everywhere else.

Volver was an amazing experience, from chef Toni, to our waiter Hector, the bartender, i was blown away. We took our daughter for her 14th Birthday and she loved it, plus chef Toni was amazing, the food delicious, the drinks amazing and the service was 2nd to non. If you are going to philly Volver is a must for a great time and food.

The drinks are what get the stars and the bar tender because he was lovely to speak with. The food wasn’t worth the price, this visit. I had the ham hock risotto and it was dry and tasteless… we also got two other dishes. My friend wasn’t impressed with hers but I liked the crab turnovers. Over all I would try the restaurant again for the over all ambience and location. I like that they rotate chefs in and out monthly!

This is a place that keeps it fresh, fun, and flavorful everytime I visit! There’s an incredible chef’s residency program that has remarkable diversity that’s truly elevated their already-impressive menu!

The appetizers were really good! Our dinner left much to be desired. My husband got the crispy chicken with mash potatoes and it was drowned in gravy. The bowl it was served in was also not ideal for eating. I got the trout dish and it left a lot to be desired. The atmosphere is intimate and very nicely decorated. I would probably come back but only for appetizers and drinks.

Mixed bag regarding food. The appetizers are very very good. We ordered the soup dumplings, garlic shrimp and crab turnovers to start with and they were wonderful. Then we ordered the main course which was the black bean steak and it was a huge disappointment. The sauce was much too rich and very high in sodium – to the point where it numbed my tongue. The overall quality and taste of this entrée was well below anything I’ve tasted at a restaurant with these prices. Additionally, their hours seems to follow that of the Kimmel Center. While our dinner started at 8am, we were warned around 9pm that it was last call for drinks and food. We did not know this. Lastly (and we appreciate the waiter telling us), for all credit card charges, they add an additional 3%. This was the first for us and we eat out in Center City every weekend. I’m not sure if we’d go here again for dinner but certainly for apps and drinks.

Strange, I’ve never eaten here before. I bought a package with orchestra tickets that included dinner and the entire evening was top notch, (including the performance by the way). The food selection, the portions, the service & the atmosphere were all excellent. Very good mixologist behind the bar as well. The other thing that was really great was that after dinner you just walked to the performance so you don’t have to deal with the logistics of getting from one place to another. Highly recommend it

We did the tasting menu. We had been waiting for over a year to get a certain group of us to visit Volver. At some point it was one of the Top 50 restaurants in Philadelphia. It can’t be anymore, right? We had an 8:30 reservation on a Saturday night and the place was almost empty. We closed the place a little after 10! The food was wildly inconsistent. Some plates were fantastic, some pedestrian, others awful.
