They’re the BEST restaurant in the area! I’ve been here countless times and they’ve always been exceptional! The presentation’s beautiful and depth of flavors were powerful & heavenly with every bite. I could literally taste the love and skills that went into each dish. My favorite’s are the finger lickin, mouthwatering ribs. The service were always delightful! If you’re looking for an enjoyable time and REAL flavorful food this is it! recommended!

I wanted to try them for the first time and I was not impressed. I got one fried chicken dinner and look at this pigeon wing I got? Mac a little o. The dry side. The plate for my husband he didn’t like it sweet potatoes are more of a puree then a fluff. Rice had a drop of gravy and one rib and scraps in the plate. Well I can say I tried it. My son did like his burger.

This was me and my wife first time trying V’s Kitchen. Excited to say we were very pleased with the food and service of the staff; especially the night manager Jo-Jo, if I am not mistaken. We had ordered a few meals to try: 1-pork chop sandwich, 2-ox tail meal with double mac w/ corn bread, and the 3-two piece chicken dinner with greens and sweet potatoes w/ Dinner Roll. EVERYTHING was so good. 10/10 will be back and will share the word.

I come here pretty often since it’s close to my house. It’s probably the best soul food in the area (if you disagree, send me your best). I usually get the fried fish or the ribs. I’ve also tried the oxtails which were okay. My fave sides are the cabbage/collard mix, cabbage by itself, sweet potato fluff. The mac is okay. I have recommended it to many of my friends & will continue to!

When I tell you that there is nothing like it in Durham!! Truly unmatched. The waitress was so down to earth I felt like we were family. Those yeast rolls alone are A-1. I got the Ribs entree’ with mac n cheese and collards. A side of rice with gravy and fried pork chop. I told her I was not fond of thick cut pork chops and she made sure I got what I wanted. I’m going back today when I get off!! Don’t meet me there, beat me there.

I had the pork chop dinner w/cabbage, pintos and cornbread. This is home cooking. Everything was perfectly seasoned. The pork chop was perfectly cut center cut. I would have liked 2, but next time I will order an extra pork chop. I ordered take out. If I had dined in I would have requested an extra chop. This food is good. VERY GOOD!
