So happy to have stumbled on this place by chance of luck we were staying out of town (technically my home town, back visiting family) and my husband wanted to go out for steak for his birthday. We called to see if they were busy an come to find out you need a secret knock and password to get in from a separate entrance (call and reserve type of place, 1st time) so we do the knock and say the password and we enter into this small room and like magic a door opens into this dimly lit beautiful dining area with not many tables so no long waits on the waiters, there was a beautiful old piano and across from that was a lovely bar with a nice wine rack and wonderful selection of liquor the tables were beautifully said as if at a really fancy restaurant which this is all the waiters and stuff was dressed in 20 themes so is really awesome to see them dressed up I really swear words aren’t good enough for how awesome this place is so here are a few pictures

Absolutely will not be returning, we have tried your restaurant three times, and each time food presentation and preparation was way off! We ordered escargot and crab cakes, both came out not hot has in past. We then ordered Lobster Bisque, no taste of Lobster or seafood. We ordered Lamb Chops Medium Rare, sad they both came out Rare. This is the third time that we have ordered the same menu, and the same thing happens. Service was off tonight, but usually is perfection. Great concept, but we will not return. Spending over $200.00 for a nice dinner isn’t the issue, the issue is your Chef sucks!

My boneless ribeye was fatty and tasteless..even my husband said so. His primerib was delicious. Drinks were great and wine recommendations was great. Service was great.. when our waitress was busy someone else just lent a hand. Great atmosphere! We will go again. No more ribeye for me.

We happened upon Vs Steakhouse looking for a nice place to have a drink. We called to see if they had a bar. Yes in deed they did. After knocki,g on what looked like a kitchen entrance we were transported to a little slice of history. The ambiance, the music all reminiscent of an old, elegant Speakeasy. My Old Fashioned drink at the bar was excellent. So one thing let to another. Although we weren’t hungry, we ate. And we were so pleasantly surprised. We had a simple dish…Beef Tournedors….I believe….and it was excellent. Tender beef with mushrooms and root vegetables and the sauce was divine. Thank you Chris, thank you Zack, for making a night out in Gun Barrel City such a memorsble experience.

Amazing! Went for a date night and we will be back! Our waitress, AJ was very attentive and sweet. She was very knowledgeable of the menu since we’ve never been before and recommended excellent items to try. The food was amazing, we enjoyed the crab cakes and our steaks! The man who let us in the secret door was very in character and nice, we enjoyed our speakeasy experience!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I’m not really sure why this place has 4 star reviews. The food was no better than something you could get at chili’s or Applebee’s… The food was luke warm at best when it came out, not even hot. I’ve been too nice steakhouses and this is not one of them. Especially for what they are charging for prices. You’re better off going somewhere else to eat. The staff was very polite though, and that was about the only good thing about this restaurant. 10/10 would not recommend to anyone to go there. We will definitely not be going back.

My wife and I celebrated our 38 year anniversary at the V-Steakhouse on 4/17/21. Everything from the into to the atmosphere, service and food can only be described as 5 star. The manager Chris is a wonderful host. Honestly for drinks, appetizers and the best steaks we have had in years. You can’t miss this place. Oh yeah and for everything we experienced the price was very reasonable.
