I was hesitant to try this place because of the negative reviews I read. But, honestly, I just think those folks either don’t know good food or were having a bad day already. From my experience today, if you’re ever in the Greensboro area and wanting to try a creative take on Jamaican cuisine, this is the place to go!

Really good jerk chicken! The wings had an excellent char to them and the flavor was great.

I decided to try this place after reading numerous mixed reviews. Here’s my take: the service was wonderful, everyone I dealt with was pleasant and cheery. The food was ok. While it’s not authentic Jamaica food, it wasn’t horrible. I ordered chicken patty and jerk wing. The chicken patty needed much more flavour. The jerk wings were a bit spicy and way too dark from what I know of Jerk. I think it was their version of Jerk chicken. My final thoughts…. the food was ok. I would go back.

Definitely not what I expected. I was so excited to try this place because I’d been seeing them on Facebook. I went one day about a week ago on my lunch break and couldn’t decide exactly what I wanted, so I decided to try a few things.

Google maps driving directions didn’t get me to the right spot. It pretty much took me to the bank. I dont know if there is driveway to here from the bank but I just drove around the block. This is part of city kitch. All the ordering you will do is online. Even if you go inside it will direct you to order online. The kiosk inside is to let them you have arrived. There is an area to sit but this isnt a true dining area. It is pretty much a food court type dining area. This is designed for you to grab your food and go.

Never again. This was the worse Caribbean food I’ve ever tasted. I recently moved from Brooklyn and grew up eating all type of food from the West Indies. I ended up throwing away all of my food except the jerk wings. The jerk wings had a nice spice but could have been cooked longer. The rice and peas were chewy, and over cooked. The rasta pasta was dry and tasted more like a cajun pasta with baby shrimp. The creamy sauce and peppers that I’m used to were missing from the dish. It was just a small amount of sauce at the bottom of the tray. I was looking to find a good restaurant that would remind me of home, this wasn’t even close.

I’m not even a person to leave bad reviews like AT ALL. However I was more disappointed than I have ever been when trying Jamaican food. I ordered the Oxtails & Seafood Mac.

Vybez Kitchen is literally amazing! I had my graduation party catered by them and it was a great experience. The communication was exceptional from initial contact to the day of the event. My family has some dietary restrictions and he was very accommodating of everything! We had oxtails, macaroni and cheese, yams, cabbage, fried fish, kabobs, and more. All my guest loved everything on the menu and all plates were cleaned. That was my first time ever having the food and I haven’t been able to get over it sense. I’ve been to the newer location for other food options and the experience was still the same. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone!

Food was very good but they say it was 1/2 pounds of oxtail.. nooo make that more rice and peas.. for that price should be more meat.. was good tho…

This sort of kitchen setup was definitely…different. I ordered the seafood Mac n cheese and a beef patty. The macaroni was hittin! I’m a lover of all things cheese, and this was smash-worthy. It definitely needed more crab in it though. The beef patty was a miss for me. It was cold and barely there. I definitely was not a fan of the wait. It already took me 20mins to drive there. But to have to wait another 35mins after arrival…especially because when I ordered, the next screen said my order was pretty much ready already. I checked in upon arrival. Eventually received a message saying my food was ready. It was another 15mins before I saw it. ♀️ So I give this place an overall 4-stars. I’d definitely eat here again when I’m in the area.
