Food is fantastic, service is terrible. The younger waitress is fine but the older one is a grouch. She’s always miserable when we go there and today was no different. Told my pregnant wife (who needs hydration) that she couldn’t bring in her drink to the restaurant, even though we’ve literally done this multiple times, we will not be going back. Better to go to the one in Pinetop lakeside, service is much better there and food is just as good. Until that lady gets her act together and realizes she is in customer service industry and that she needs to be more kind to her customers, we will not be back. Plenty of other good restaurants to eat at in snowflake and the White Mountain Area. My wife left crying and disappointed as she really enjoys Asian Food. We’ve easily spent 1,000 here over the last year (300 on sushi for our anniversary one time!) And we will not be spending another dime here.

I came here as it was recommended by someone who, at this point, probably would like to see me get food poisoning. I did not die eating here (sorry, LOL) but I did enjoy Asian cuisine.

What a waste of our time and money. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and we decided to try a new sushi place. It was just like gas station sushi with bistro prices. Luckily, we didn’t get sick. That is worth the one star. Our sushi was so badly put together, I wonder if the chef is experiencing a dark time or something. So, we got disappointment for our 30th anniversary. Give this place an award for being the worst sushi I have ever had, because I like to eat sushi in every state of America since 2001. Close second worst is in North Carolina, if they are even still open. New rule: No new places on special days.

Ordered online and website said they were open, received a call saying they were closed everyday from 3-4. Informed them they could go ahead and canceled the order and was told they could not because they don’t work with their own website? Was told I needed to either pick it up an hour later or cancel the order on the website. Website has no cancel option on it but luckily I selected pay at store. Overall bad business setup and customer service.

My friend and I are both local business owners. We have eaten here many times together and with other friends. The service has been between cold and friendly, depending on the occasion. Today was a different experience. The waitress was not rude but didn’t communicate well. She didn’t ask questions, but rather made statements. I paid close attention to what she said because of this style of communication. Ultimately, The wrong order was brought to my friend. It was brought by the female owner. When my friend told her we didn’t order one of the plates, she didn’t ask any questions, just took it from the table. A few mins later my friend saw the owner and said “I believe the order was just incorrect, and this is what I ordered” The owner said from two tables a way in a very loud voice “my waitress’s ALWAYS read back the order, you have to listen to my waitresses!”. My friend was calm and soft spoken but the owner continued to blame my friend for being the issue. After several loud accusations I told the owner that waitress did not read back our order and that we arent going to be accused of lying. The owner yelled at this point “I am done talking to you!” and left the Seating area. Disturbed by her obvious mental health issues, We ate our food, and went to pay. Note: My friend did not get her other half of her order and still left a tip because thats just the kind of woman she is and why she is my friend, because of her heart. At the register, the owner took our payment. I told the owner that mistakes were human and that the wrong order wasnt a big deal but that the way she spoke to my friend was not acceptable. I said it calmly. She repeated even louder everything she said before, blaming us both now for not reading the menu or listening to her waitress. She was yelling now to a full restaurant that we were Karen’s although we hadn’t raised our voices and telling us we could never return to her restaurant and then yelled to the full restaurant how sorry she was for OUR disturbance.

SOOOO GOOD! We had the Las Vegas roll, Thai curry with scallops (with eggplant, tofu, potato, asparagus), Moo Goo Gai Pan, Orange chicken (with real orange pieces), strawberry mochi. Very clean, very friendly and professional staff, nice atmosphere, fast service, fresh taste. The only thing not very good was the hot and sour soup. It wasn’t hot or sour like you usually taste at other places. It didn’t have that full flavor. And it has chicken in it. Which wasn’t bad, just weird.

The Asian Bistro is a great place and a refreshing experience from the regular BBQ and Mexican food restaurants. It’s kinda hidden on the north side of Walmart. The staff have always been professional and the sushi chefs can definitely make a great roll especially for being in a small town in AZ.
