We aren’t from Lufkin, but we were in the area on Saturday. I looked up BBQ places and found Wade’s. I can attest that the 5-star reviews are correct! We took home 2 lbs of brisket and a pound of pork ribs, which lasted us for several meals. The brisket was so moist, and the smoke ring/char was amazing. The rib meat fell off the bones. I believe it might’ve been Wade himself who was working at the trailer—I failed to ask…but he was friendly and quick, and the trailer is charming! It was SO yummy, we’ll definitely go back!

Can’t really rate the food, because Wade’s was closed. Not doing business that day or out of business completely. We are doing a bbq road trip. Wade’s was on my list of places to try. Maybe I should have called before making the trip or Wade’s bbq should post on social media “I’m not open today.”

You’re just not going to find better brisket in the area. Would be neat if they added some original spicy BBQ sauce options but, with this brisket, it would ALMOST be blasphemous. Not many open hours but that probably doesn’t hurt his business as it may add to exclusivity.

Some of the best bbq you will ever have. This place is absolutely awesome. A super nice guy as well. We are from out of town, but Wade made this place feel like home. I recommend the ribs, but all of it is delicious!
