I HAD to write a review, because I need for everyone to know about the incredible service and food at this location. Let’s face it…Waffle House restaurants have been a source of entertainment for years. THIS location, however, completely caught me off guard. There was a good number workers, which I’m guessing means that people show up for their shifts. There was a patient man in charge of seating. The establishment was extra clean- everywhere. The place was incredibly busy, but at no point did I see any disgruntled workers. Everyone wore a clean uniform. I will admit; my faith in younger workers has diminished, but THIS staff of mostly younger (maybe 30 and under) people worked completely in sync. I saw nothing but professional (beautiful) faces, and I heard absolutely no sidebar conversations about anyone being tired, or waiting to get off work. All verbal interactions centered around orders. A few of the servers knew some of the regular clients’ orders by heart. I ordered carryout, which was absolutely delicious, and cooked to perfection. I usually don’t write long reviews, but I wanted these people to know exactly what I thought of their workplace. I hope everyone gets a raise!

So, a relative has been in Europe where such places as Waffle House do not exist. So, our first day in Durham, we went to the nearest Waffle House. I joked about a 9 1/2 drive to eat breakfast at Waffle House, but despite the jokes, it was a good breakfast.

Horrible service this morning. I stood in line for 15 minutes only to be told I need to move out of the way so she can cash out 6 customers. I said ok but then she told me it would be a long wait time to place a to go order and since I have time to waste I said ok and sat down. The lady then told me I can order online to make it quicker What I wanted wasn’t online. I wanted a the Texas cheesesteak melt with 3 SCRAMBLED EGGS and online doesn’t allow for it to be done that way. While I was sitting there a customer came in and sat down and that same lady took the customer’s order. I was completely overlooked when I was nothing but understanding and respectful.

These employees did not want to work and told us it’s closed. They didn’t even say they were on brake they said go home we’re close . Told me to go to Mexico , discriminating me and our friends for our appearance . I was not even born in Mexico . We had at least 10 – 18 people with us, we we went to cook out . Service there is 100 times better than the staff working on waffle . As soon as someone puts on the uniform they’re representing Waffle House but I guess they don’t know that and feel they own and disrespect any customer they want sometime around 2:30 am September 19 2021
