Anybody who gives Waffle House a bad rating has never been to a Waffle House. Breakfast as good as it gets with reliably bad service with a smile. Or is it even bad? It’s almost rehearsed when you don’t get silverware while the employees are yelling at each other about how they hate their jobs. The place runs as smoothly as greasy buttery over medium eggs off a questionably clean plate. But the food is delicious and the atmosphere is great and it’s always the right choice. Friendly people working even if they’re tired of being so busy and overworked. You can’t go wrong. Been going to this one for years and absolutely no complaints. (We thought about going to Huddle House before this and it was weird and quiet as a grave)

In the past I had taken a hiatus from the brand. But lately I have been giving them a chance. Until this particular unit. After driving out my way, the night shift cook advised that my wait would be 25 minutes while the grill was cleaned for day shift. I don’t have a problem with the procedure, it’s the timing. In my humble opinion, why not shut down and re-set the entire restaurant before breakfast rush? Had they locked up and shut off the sign lights I could have made other decisions without exiting my vehicle in the rain.

Ordered take out like 3am. The waitress who took my order gave me a price of $26.00. Then she said there’s a carry out fee. It would be $31.00. When I got there to pick it up, she charged me $37 & some change talking about other fees. Mind you, this is for 2 bacon Texas cheese steak plates. Double hashbrowns with ham & cheese. I’ve always loved Waffle House but, after this experience..I’m done. That’s way too expensive for 2 sandwiches. Plus…the lady was obviously high & rude. Shame on Waffle House if this is their new policy for take out.

Don’t try to work here they pretend to be excited to have new people but won’t do the work behind hiring someone they get attitudes when someone points something out that’s off. Worked for a week and a half and didn’t get a clock in, started on the 21st of July and still haven’t been paid for my first week and it’s august 12th. The unit manger is disrespectful, rude and incompetent at doing her job. Texted called 3-4 times trying to figure out what was going on (about being put on the clock and about my pay) got left on read they were purposely ending my calls just overall not a good place to work for.

I showed up at 8:00 in the morning and before I could even sit down and wait on my girlfriend to come in the cook informed me that she was not taken to court she was the only cook before I could even say hi how are you doing or even get a good morning so I left. Then about 2:00 in the morning I got up and was hungry and decided to try it again and the cook was outside with the waitress smoking a cigarette saying that they needed 30 minutes because they were there by themselves and they have not been busy for hours because a friend of mine said that they pass by there previous hour and there was nobody even there. Now this is not the first time that this has happened it happened about a week ago and about a month ago. The night shift is absolutely terrible about wanting to work. They always have an excuse why they can’t work either the gorillas down or they don’t have a cook and it’s the waitress cooking and she needs a break. I’ll remember back in 2019 it was just a waitress and a cook all night shift and they made it happen. Nobody works like they’re supposed to anymore. I’m surprised they still have a job and they’re still open at night.
