I’m normally satisfied with this location but tonight was an exception. Waited for 15 minutes and got up and walked out. The guy acknowledged us being there and said he was coming. One table was really demanding and I’m not sure if he had their order correct. They need more employees. There were only three tables occupied. Not taking our drink order was the biggest issue and would have waited on food Ended up going to Jack’s next door. It was excellent as always.

Worked 22 hours. Went in at 3:30 am to finally eat. Got attitude and told to go only. As I watched people walk out when I pulled in. And they had ate inside. Waffle House in Tuscaloosa needs to get it together 3rd time in 4 months of workers changing times

Went for a late night dinner. The employees were all out front smoking with a security guard. We were told that they were not taking any orders. We were trying to figure out what the next step was, when another 2 cars pulled up and they told them to stand in line at the window to order then told us we could place an order now. We waited outside as the inside was closed to customers and the loud speaker kept going off letting us that we were being recorded and that loardering was prohibited. It took over 45 mins to be given our food. Just to find out it wasn’t the correct order.

I wouldn’t know how to rate the food, service, or atmosphere (of which there was none) because the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with “we are only doing take out orders because we are trying to take a break before we get a rush” (this was 1:30am on Saturday March 12, 2023. I just wanted a cup of coffee after driving almost a thousand miles (without breaks for food). I met my brother in the parking lot, told him about what was said about taking a break, so we just left without my coffee. I worked MANY MANY MANY years as a 3rd shift cook at WH and not once did my third shift get a break or have a completely empty lobby.

Very slow about getting our order More workers than customers. Awful. Our food was brought to us a little at a time. Employees arguing loudly about their schedules while they were on the cook line. Will not eat here ever again

Most all employees were in training and slow. However, that happens when ppl are training. The problem was that customers were not informed they were training and would get up and leave. The new servers would take your order but wouldn’t call it in immediately bc the cook was also in training.

I came in and had to sit for a pretty long time my car had broken down my debit card misplaced and my phone dead they were friendly courteous and hospitable this is by far one of the best little waffle houses I have ever been to.

Greatly disappointed. My wife and I ordered breakfast. Scrambled eggs, grits, bacon, and toast. The toast was so cold the butter smeared on it wouldn’t melt. The scrambled eggs weren’t mixed they were tossed on the pan and mixed up so there were chunks of yellow and white egg. The plate my 3 pieces of bacon were on was sitting in bacon grease (see photo). We only saw the waitress 1 time so no refills were offered. We were the only patrons in the place at the time. You would think with restaurants struggling the employees would try to take care of the clientele they had. Obviously not.
