I am a regular at this waffle house location, i come here 2-3 times a week, and i always get exactly the same thing. I ordered triple hashbrowns with 6 cheese and a side of grits with 3 cheese, like I always do. Hashbrowns were fine. The grits had 6-7 pieces of cheese in it, AND the grits were so cold the cheese wasn’t even SLIGHTLY melted. When I mentioned it had twice the cheese I ordered the waitress, Jennesee, gave me attitude and said, “It must be the way they stacked it, because I saw them put the grits in.” I clearly saw 3 pieces sticking up out of it, and when I lifted 2 of them to try to mix it in, I saw at least 2 more on the bottom. I get the same order every time I go to waffle house. I know what it’s meant to look like mixed up. This is twice the cheese. Not to mention, I had to ask for a plate cause the grits were falling out of the bowl. Normally, i wouldn’t be upset with extra cheese, but these grits were cold, so I couldn’t mix it in properly, AND they weren’t even salted like usual.

Let me start be saying, I love going to Waffle House establishments. The employees are engaging and friendly. This location was no different, but the time it took to recieve your order was a wait. Sitting there waiting I could not figure out why because there was not that many customers. When order arrived, it all looked delicious. My wife and I had the All Star but her eggs were fried hard and I ordered over easy. Unfortunately, my eggs turned out to be fried hard. I had the hash browns to be “country” and the gravy did not taste too good. I was about to help my 3 y/o with her scrambled eggs when I noticed a hair in her eggs. Needless to say, she did not eat them. I am pretty disappointed with this location. I did take pics, though.

I worked waffle house from 1985 to 2012. Reviews for waffle house on hwy 80 yes. Great food Great management team. Joe and Jennifer. These ladies are the bombGreat cooks. Especially Neal brown. My son is a fast and wonderful cook. Check him out on highway 80 waffle house Monday night at 9 pm thru Thursday 7 am. He’s great cook . One of the best teams and great cooks there. Best in phenix city Alabama. Drop in and see them your won’t regret it. The T-bone is the bomb. Delicious

Disgusting employees with very bad customer service not one professional bone in their body. I go in there around 1:40 am right off the back the woman was like you taking out I said no and she got to talking bout the system was down but I could cash for take out but I was like why can’t I do the same for dining in so that’s when she got this attitude about me asking the question long story short if don’t like your job quit. I would give them 0 stars if I could. I called in my order but when I got there everybody looking crazy and nobody put my order in. Worst part is their customer service. They didn’t apologize and take accountability for their mess up. All the staff was looking like O well. One server walked off. Yall need to do better. I asked how long would it take them to make it since I was there but they were like Idk but they should have went ahead and started my order since they messed up. The whole purpose of me calling it in. But i changed my mind and left. I wouldn’t give them my money! Called my order in and Went to Bradley park waffle house. They have way better Customer service and actually had my call in order ready when I arrived.

Sunday around 10. Already had a mad customer when we walked in talking with the manager. We waited 45 min, asked about food, then she forgot to put the order in. Eggs were not scrambled .. they were all burned together, with no cheese.. asked for cheese.. We got bacon instead of sausage,we asked no onions .. got onions on the food. There was no one in there and I see why. Then a group of military guys came in .. waited 20 min .. no one says anything to them .. so they left and I told them I should have warned them. They said yea everyone was standing around and didn’t bother to take any kind of order or say anything …Bad experience.. I’m not the picky person or do reviews .. but this one needed a review.

First time customer. It took about 20 minutes sitting at the bar before someone asked us if we’d been served; there were 2-3 tables and one other person at the bar (who was the one who asked us if we’d been helped). The waitstaff were really personable and if I hadn’t been hungry, I wouldn’t have minded the wait.
