Traveling from Texas to Florida with my husband, 1 1/2 yr old granddaughter and my mom who is handicapped. Decided to stop in Sulphur for the night, got a room and went to go eat at the Waffle House next door. We were immediately told they were only doing to go orders. So we decided to place our order to go. No problem. Took 10 minutes and me asking someone if they could take our order… his name is Derek and he was very nice -best part of the experience. He did tell us that when they were really short handed they could only do to go orders. No problem. I understand that completely. What I don’t understand is the next few groups of people were NOT told that. They were able to sit in the restaurant and dine in with the same number of staff as when we arrived. I would rather eat pop tarts than visit this place again!!

Good breakfast. Not great, not bad. Seemed a bit expensive for a Waffle House. Maybe inflation makes $5.50 for eggs and toast with hashbrowns normal. Make sure to park on the north side of the building.

Lakeshore Lake Charles La.. Very rude servers. One sleeping on a table. Head down on table. Tables dirty. Told me to sit at any clean table. None were clean. She turned to other servers. Said loudly after about 3 minutes or more. “I don’t know why SHE’S standing there. ” I told her. Ok you said sit at a clean table. There are none. Your comments rude. But I see you are very busy. I’ll go elsewhere. …. Not the first time rude service with this woman. I called manager. Doubt anything will change. I won’t go back.

Orderd take out charged 20 in extras.. order was wrong, and the waffle was paper thin and cold, paid for extra hashbrowns, and didn’t get them asked for a biscuit instead of toast got charged for an extra biscuit!!! $60 I’ll never get back! RIDICULOUS ruined my first breakfast in Louisiana!
