Okay, so this was actually my first experience going to Waffle House. Crazy, I know! I’ve always avoided it like the plague… scared it was so dingy and disgusting. This morning my kids and husband begged me to go for after church brunch and for whatever reason, I caved and went.

Our waitress was incredibly rude. She did not seem interested in us at all. We asked for chocolate waffles and was brought regular waffles but was charged for those chocolate waffles. Another customer came in and she was smiling like sum was funny. I am incredibly disgusted. This was very lack luster.i love Waffle House this is a shame.

Dirty, poor service, there was dirty grease on the plates from the griddle , brought plates out one at a time. Ordered grits, big nasty lumps in it. We always enjoyed eating here when it was new. When checking out we were ask if we enjoyed it . I answered honestly. Not today and we won’t be back. Manager no where in site.

Sunday morning 6 am. Pretty empty, except for about 8 or so Waffle House employees, gathered at the bar talking loudly and mocking some incoming employees loudly as they were walking in the door. My waitress spent a good 5 minutes huddled up with the group before coming to take my order. ATMOSPHERE SUCKED. Employees were loud and obnoxious.

Service was great so I will give two stars instead of one star. Bacon & sausage were burned badly. Waffles were being made and stacked which means you were given a cold waffle out of the stack. Chocolate chips and butter couldn’t melt on the waffle. Scrambled eggs weren’t the usual fluffy consistency, instead they were crispy. Lastly, the toast was cold with a glob of butter that was incapable of melting. I understand that it’s a busy and of course this isn’t a 5 star restaurant. But at least slow down and make sure the food is meeting typical Waffle House standards.

Someone needs to teach the staff the menu. We ordered pork chops and eggs and Kinsley told us it does not come with eggs. It’s literally called a pork chop and egg platter! And the cook tried to tell her yes it does comes with eggs and she didn’t listen…So needless to say she over charged us also!… who is the manager of this place???

A good menu of breakfast options. I ordered an omelet with cheese, onions and tomatoes extra. It was brought to me over hashbrowns. I had to send it back. It was gooey and burnt. So I exchanged it for a waffle and a side of bacon. The waffle was very thin and the syrup went right through it making it mushy. The bacon was burnt and very hard. It was very noisy and the music too loud, I had to lift my voice to talk to my wife sitting next to me. I was with a party of six and they had no room for that many people. They had to put us in 2 booths. Not good. I won’t be going back.

A good ol’ place for the Family! Great price for great value!! Worth every penny for limited or fixed income people. Booths might be tight for the typical American girth. But it’s a standard fare so great for those who travel yet yearn for the familiar. Only mom makes better.
