I was hesitant to believe that the waffles here would be worth the drive past a few different well-known breakfast spots; I’m a big fan of two nearby for different reasons. I genuinely thought it was worth the trip for the waffle; I had the Salty Pig. I returned to try the Gluten-Free waffle. Tasted just as delicious. I also tried their Sausage & Egg Sandwich (scrambled with cheese), and have since returned four times in two weeks for an egg sandwich. Something about that grill taste on the sausage. I’m used to a large patty, but loving the triple links they use. Those NY/NJ/Northeast folks missing a solid egg sandwich ON A GOOD ROLL, look no further than Waffle Monkey. They threw salt, pepper, and ketchup on there for me last time, but it’s honestly amazing plain. Order ahead, and it’s a quick pick up, NE corner of Bonita Beach Road and Old 41. If you’re doing a waffle, do it there, but I have also done a waffle to go! They have a full menu of espresso drinks as well. Enjoy it before the line is out the door in season.

Waffle monkey is a quaint little brunch spot located in an inconspicuous strip of shops and restaurants. We were seated quickly on a very busy Saturday, greeted right away and our order was fired into the POS system right at the table. I swear our food came out piping hot in 10 minutes. The caramel iced latte was actually very good for a brunch place. The classic waffle with eggs and bacon was plenty for me and my son and we left very full. I loved the bacon and the waffle was perfect! We will be back and recommend it!

Very busy on a Saturday afternoon which is a good thing. Waited a few minutes for a table indoors. They have patio seating but it was really hot out today. Our table was near a door which the wait staff used to go in and out allowing in all the hot air. The owner is trying to resolve the problem so in the meantime try not to get the table near the door. The waffles are very good with a variety of toppings. We had the Churro with caramel sauce, the Old School Waffle and the Nuts About Chocolate Waffle. A fun atmosphere and perfect for families. Our waitress Emily was friendly and prompt. Happy to have the Waffle Monkey in Bonita. Looking forward to our next visit.

Visited with my wife for the first time… the waffles were delicious. She had the cinnabun flavored one, I went for chicken and waffles. Lots of crispy chicken! They also have breakfast sandwich and milkshakes. We will definitely be back soon, I would recommend everyone to visit.

I really hope this plays stays busy, because it was so good, and I feel it’s a missed opportunity if people don’t visit it. The building it is located in is clean and tidy, and felt upscale. The restaurant itself was laid back and relaxing. We were quickly greeted by the awesome staff who sat us down and gave us our menus.

Check out the new waffle restaurant (May 2, 2023). Very nice, joyful people. This is their first US location. Their other locations are on Grand Cayman and Costa Rica. Very good and unique waffles. We had their ham, cheese, and egg waffle.

There was a wait so we had to walk around in the area. They took our phone number and texted us when they were ready for us. We walked around the back side of the building and went to the boba tea place which was amazing! They also have a bakery going in right behind waffle Monkey that has not opened yet. There are some other stores in the brand new little strip You can check out while you are waiting. The waffles were amazing I got the salty pig waffles with bacon on top My friends got the chicken and waffles. It’s a chicken tender and you can choose what dipping sauces you want. The service was quick We drink water but they have other options of course. The syrup is in a squeeze bottle on the table They didn’t have butter out for you so if you want butter I guess you’ll have to ask for it but we didn’t even bother. You can sit outside or inside. The service was good Everyone was really nice and friendly that worked there.

Run, don’t walk to Waffle Monkey. I love the vibe – great tropical colors. Hot coffee, tea, and fresh pressed OJ. Waffles with anything you can imagine. Mine was a delicious gluten free version. For those I’m need of a little protein – eggs and bacon are yummy options. Not a breakfast fan, try one of their sandwiches with a milkshake.

Weekly Date Day #8. My wife and I visit a different, local, (Bonita & Naples) restaurant each weekend and post an honest review of our experience and of the food. We ate outside because it was a bit too noisy inside to talk. I had the Easy Cheesy which is loaded with Ham & Cheese and topped with herb butter & parmesan. They were out of Ham so I opted for bacon instead. My wife had the Egg & Bacon. We weren’t really impressed with the waffles. The insides were a bit doughy (uncooked) and the bacon on the side of both of ours was overcooked and crumbled in our mouths instead of being nice and chewy as it should be. The fresh-squeezed OJ was tasty but, I prefer mine without ice so I can enjoy it full-strength and get a full glass of it. Be sure to tell them Ice or no ice when ordering your juice. Overall, the restaurant itself was nice and clean and the staff was super friendly. Since this is a new (to the area) restaurant, I guess we expected a little more bang for the buck ($50 for our 2 waffles & juice with tip) and for the waffles to be spot-o as Bonita really needs some excellent places to eat. I’m hoping they improve over time as we’d like to give it another shot. We’ll see. Stay tuned for next weeks Date Day.
