We have given this place a shot several times because it is convenient and we loved the old hyvee market grill. Salads are soggy and brown, kids burgers are more soy than meat (similar to the “burgers” we used to get in school), they we’re down to three pop choices because over half of the soda machine was out of order, at least one of us got sick each time, and the staff taking orders has no idea what is on their menu. I have no clue why they are keeping these open.

Had breakfast with my daughter. Ordered chicken fried steak, it wasn’t great, but I ate most of it. 2 hours later very upset stomach and having to stay close to bathroom. Called to let management know and was told “try back in about an hour, they are kinda busy right now” called back spoke to manager was told they make stuff fresh so it couldn’t be old, said she would mention it to kitchen staff, did not take any of my contact information but said food poisoning takes about 24 hrs, so if it gets worse let them know. If 0 stars was possible that is what I would give.

Was just weird. Went on Sunday at about 12:30. Entered via the restaurant door from parking lot. Were directed out into the store to order at the counter…like it was “fast food”… was given instructions…pulled our own silverware once we found it, got our drinks, and were charged prices like it was a regular restaurant. They gave us a number for our table and 20+ minutes later our food came out…the fruit cup was warm. I am hoping that we don’t get sick, but it was obviously not from a refrigerator.

I have no complaints over the food or service, just the model for service and the price point. 2 meals, 2 drinks, and an appetizer ran $50, which seemed high given there was no wait staff, and very poor signage on where to go to order. Everyone I encountered was happy to point me in the correct direction, it is just weird that they offer the same level of service as Hardee’s.
