Another excellent meal provided by Walk On’s – College Station, Texas. My server David was attentive, fast and friendly. The Zydeco Salad was, as usual, sumptuously delicious and exquisitely presented with its expertly breaded & fried shrimp. A perfect blend of flavors and spices, Walk On’s Zydeco Salad remains my favorite, although everything I’ve ever eaten here has been first rate. Highly recommended.

Only place that serves beignets at sensible hours within 100 miles. Had a real hankering for beignets and I’m so glad they serve them. The beignets didn’t disappoint! Also enjoyed the jumbo shrimp and drinks. Great service and great food! Would definitely come here again.

If you’re from Louisiana or grew up around Cajun food then maybe don’t go in with high expectations, but whatever I’ve had from here was really good, and the fried gator was really tender. Portions for some of the dishes are large like the catfish atchafalaya with blackened catfish instead of fried, or just right with something like the adult grilled cheese. I like it here, will be back more!

We came here for an early dinner on a Thursday afternoon and we were sat right away and they provide high chairs. Our server was friendly and we didn’t wait long for our food. We ordered the cheeseburger sliders for our appetizer which comes with 3 sliders and they were very yummy. Then I ordered the Avery Island salad with grilled shrimp and it was awesome and big. My husband ordered the Uncle B’s Chicken Tenders which comes with 5 big tenders and fries, he took two home with some fries. We finished our meal with their beignets. I had never had them before and I was excited to try them. I thought they would be like scones or donuts but they were like fried croissants, very pastry-like on the inside. We loved them. I would definitely recommend trying this place out.

This is basically a sports bar with cajun inspired dishes. The bar area is large and they have alot of beers on tap. The food is descent but nothing special. I’ve tried the fried shrimp which was pretty good and the Crawfish Two Ways which is fried Crawfish tails and Crawfish Ettoufee. The tails were pretty good but the Ettoufee was very bland. The cocktail sauce here is very odd tasting, it has a sweet cherry flavor. Good place to come for drinks and grab a bite if you get hungry but I wouldn’t recommend coming here just for Cajun dining.

Reason rating was for to the service it could it have been better. It was not like we were catered to, but we understand there was 2 bartenders but her delivery was shy of “rude”. We requested plastic wear and it took over 5 minutes we asked the lady and she said “the other lady went to get, of she said she was going to get it then she will, I can’t leave bar. ” What are your thoughts on her response? It was almost a full bar but manageable. The Hickory burger was beyond my expectations in presentation and was very good. Tuscan chicken, mashed potatoes and greens were tasty.

The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I’ve been several times, but when they were very busy, the quality dropped. But any other time we have been very pleased by the quality and consistency of the food, the ease of subbing sides, friendly staff & clean restaurant. Also pretty sure the only place that has gator in B/CS!

Service was outstanding this evening. My Son and his family are in town visiting his Grandmother, the kids, their Great Grandmother and he invited us to dinner. We got there early evening, just after 5p.m, got seated immediately. Our server was great, always attentive and if he foresaw being away for longer than, what I felt he was uncomfortable with, he made sure everyone in our party of 6 was satisfied for the time he thought he would be away. He spoke clearly and whenever Mom asked him anything, he faced her and spoke so that she could understand him the first time he spoke anything. He definitely deserved the over tip that I gave him, as my son picked up the tab and I wanted to show my gratitude for a job very well done. I’m horrible with names or else I would have shared his here. Thanks for a very pleasant evening. Oh yeah the food was great too… lol. I had the redfish tacos.

The duck and andoullie sausage gumbo is really good, not overly spicy, good roux and a good balance of duck and sausage. The boom boom shrimp had a kick, not overly sauced and had at least 12 or more medium size shrimp in the bowl. Great atmosphere with lots of TVs with different games and sport shows to watch.
