There was a big piece of metal in my mashed potatoes. I don’t know if it’s a sanitary or preparation issue, maybe both, but this is beyond unacceptable. Unfortunately, I was only able to find it after I felt it scrape the roof of my mouth. We all lost our appetite, and I will absolutely not be returning to nor recommending any Walt’s anywhere to anyone out of concern. I’m glad that I didn’t swallow it nor was it in a child’s food. Waste of time and money, but at least no one was hurt.

I bought a fried flounder fish sandwich from Walts. It was terrible!!! The fish had a batter over it and was barely bigger than the bread. If I wanted that kind of fish I could have gone to the Chinese store or fast food place. Also, the Prices have gone sky High and the food is not goid at all !!! I am very disappointed with Walts chicken. They used to have such good food, now it is not good at all. I would not recommend them to anyone!!!

Literally my favorite spot! I’m from north Wilmington and remember Walt’s on Vandever so I was hyped when I saw they were opening a new one over north. The food is jumpin and more than that I feel valued when I spend my money there. They always have old school soul music playin which just gives it a homey-type vibe. Check em out though. Make sure them wings are dropped back too

It was ok the chicken didn’t have the regular “Walt’s “ flavor. It was bland I was at least expecting that flavor & it didn’t have to be salty. The waffle was sugar crunchy. I thought it was going to be a normal waffle. Every bite had big pieces of sugar in it. Although the flavor was good. Customer service was great

I’m highly disappointed, it’s about 6:30 pm I ordered the breasts dinner meal that comes with a breast a leg annoying my wing chase spoiled my mac & cheese extremely dry didn’t have any cheese I never got my potato salad order. The place was not crowded at all not sure why my order was not executed more thoroughly.

Stopped in at Walts for the first time for lunch. I ordered two 2⃣ piece dark meat 1 with fries and the other with collard greens. Upon opening the take out container I was surprised how small the pieces of chicken were. The flavor was very good and crispy. The greens and fries were good too. I think the flavors of the food is way better the other chicken places

Oh my goodness absolutely amazing, I wish I had pictures but I tore that food UP okayyy, I’m gonna order from them again tonight, but my friends and I ordered from here for my birthday and it was like a taste of home, I personally had the 4 pc meal with mac nd cheese and sweet potatoes. Now the sweet potatoes were a LITTLE tough and when I say a little I mean a little like they could’ve been in there for like 2 more minutes and they would’ve been BOMB, but I digress they were still absolutely amazing. The chicken was cooked to perfection golden brown, crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside not too greasy too! The Mac and cheese…I definitely got a corner if you know you know and it was DELICIOUS, I don’t even eat everybody’s Mac like that but this was creamy but not that Kraft foolishness, it was so good. And the fact that I ordered food minutes before they closed and they prepared 4 plates for us all hot and fresh was absolutely amazing 10/10 customer service from the 2 men who worked that night, it was a guy wit locs I think and then another guy with a short cut cookin in the back!!! SHOUTOUT TO THEM WHOEVER TAUGHT THEM HOW TO COOK NEEDS ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD!!!!!! My new favorite soul food spot.
