Was able to get seats right away. Waitress was knowledgeable and was able to assist us quickly. Had the seafood Ramen and added jalapeños to it. Also had the sake sampler. Definitely was delicious. Highly recommend if you are in the mood for sushi or ramen!

Went here for dinner and my expectations for a great dinner were far exceeded. The resturant is beautiful and clean. Our waitress(I wish I could remember her name!)was amazing, attentive and so personable. The food was so delicious, my husband got the Black Garlic Ramen and it’s the best ramen we have had in Des Moines. My sushi was fresh and flavorful, the sake we got to go along with the meal really hit the spot and the dessert was out of this world. I can’t reccomend this place enough for a great dining experience!

Pretty good sushi. I do prefer Wasabi Chi over this location — they have the same food but it’s a little more fresh over there. BUT this place is pretty good as well. I ordered to-go and my spicy edamame was cold, but still good. I wish the website was updated with details about EVERY sushi roll; I ordered the twins of the sea roll not knowing what was in it but taking a chance. It wasn’t my fav as it contains asparagus and mango. I’m sure many people love that, I just wish the website posted the ingredients is all. It was delicious to me after I took those things out LOL. The white tuna nigiri was absolutely delicious. Thank you!

Our server Carrie was absolutely amazing – one of the best I’ve ever had ever. And Shane as well, I went to the bar to eyeball the draft beers, he came up and described all the beers, and paired me with the 515 brewing seasonal, it was great. Don’t even get me started on the sushi, 3 of us tried the biggest platter and finished it all. 5 stars isn’t enough, keep it up Wasabi Johnston

Amazing and fresh sushi place near Johnston. Visited for a lunch meeting. Their pork dumplings were some of the best I have had. The sushi sashimi combo was also very good, extremely fresh food. The ambience is also nice an fresh with the wine wall. Will definitely visit again when I am in the area. Overall a great value for money restaurant

We ate at the new Wasabi location in Urbandale and had a great meal. The restaurant itself was very nicely decorated with a beautiful fish mural covering one entire wall. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful.
