We stopped here on our way to Myrtle Beach on a travel day. We were very happy with the menu, if anything there’s too many great sounding things to choose from! The garlic edamame was delicious and different than anything we’ve had before. Sushi was very good and beautifully presented. We would recommend!

We were reluctant to try Wasabi, as our go-to for sushi is Sushi Taro, but we had an unplanned dinner outing recently that took us there. We were pleasantly surprised. All the sushi we had was very good and fresh. Standouts were the Hanami roll (special roll), the unagi, the sake, the ikura, and the seaweed salad. Service was friendly, accommodating and quick. Atmosphere was OK- nothing to write home about. There was a live musician we had to shout over, but we had fun, and, most importantly, the food was really good!

Wasabi is one of our “Go To” places to enjoy weekly sushi – we generally sit at the sushi bar where we have gotten to know the staff however they boast an ambient dining room and outdoor dining patio as well that are equally pleasant. The variety in their menu offers something for everyone – and to top it off the staff is friendly , caring and always ready with a fabulous suggestion …. Wasabi in Oakland is literally the Cheers of Sushi – where everyone knows your name. I’ve noticed they have a very regular clientele – likely due to the combination of excellent food and friendly staff …

I was so excited there was a Mount Pleasant Wasabi opening. Wasabi is my go to place for lunch! The food is amazing and even if you don’t like sushi there are many options to chose from. The prices are affordable and the atmosphere is very calm and inviting. I have been going to Wasabi forever! The best part about this location is they are open for Lunch on the weekends, unlike most Japanese restaurants. Both the Mt P. and the D.I. are amazing. There is nothing negative to say about the Wasabi experience! I cant eat sushi anywhere else, because I am spoiled by them!

I loved Wasabi and was a returning customer until a rude bartender asked my friend and I to leave at 9:50 pm on a Friday night so he could clean the bar. There were 3 other patrons at the bar as well. I’m sad that this one bartender has made it impossible to return. I have 30 years of experience in restaurants and hospitality and have never experienced what I did on that night. Sent a kind email to Wasabi but it must have not been read.

AMAZING!!! I came all the way from Atlanta for this place. Every year I come to Charleston for the Superbowl, working on the 13 year tradition, but a buddy of mine just moved to Mt Pleasant and I always make it a point to come here to kickoff the weekend. Everything is so fresh, and I’m a stickler for fresh sushi. They even have hibachi options, Pad Thai and fried rice options. The staff os amazing, helpful, patient and so friendly. Our server was Megan and she’s the absolute best! A wrong sushi roll was delivered to our table, but the turnaround time for the correction was so quick. I cant say enough good things about this place. And as always, I can wait to come back here and get my sushi fix!

I ordered delivery. I specifically asked, “Extra, extra wasabi please. I like a little sushi with my wasabi.” I got one little dollop. When I called I was told I could have a credit for wasabi available only for dining in the restaurant. This is the third time.
