The ramen was delicious. The pork was tender and juicy, noodles were firm, and the broth was really rich in flavor. The sushi on the other hand was supposed to be spicy but actually wasn’t. It was crunchy though. They don’t make adjustments to the dishes (ie making something spicy). But the service is great.

I wanted to come to Wasan for a long time, today I had lunch there and ordered the Sashimi Bento Box. Quick & friendly service, Miso soup was ok, Bento Box looked great, great rice & salad – everything was very yummy (besides the fish). The fish was mediocre and the yellow tail had a very fishy smell unfortunately. Overall I would not repeat because of the fish experience. Bummer ;/

Stopped here early, 11:30am, for a quick bite. Angelo, my server, provided perfect attention and suggested a special that included salad when I ordered 2 vegan rolls. Pumpkin and Avocado rolls were yummy and Angelo asked if he should inform the chef (Of course!). Love ordering sushi. It’s made to order and very fresh. Nice atmosphere. Good service. Lovely vegan options.

There is a separate “late night” menu that’s much shorter than the dinner menu so unless you’re already aware or order something that happens to be on both you can get a bit tripped up when it’s time to order. The garlic fried chicken was good, but could have been a bit crispier since it was getting sauced anyway. The spicy shrimp tempura + avocado roll was also okay, but definitely felt like there was a high premium being paid for a roll that could’ve been gotten elsewhere. The outdoor seating is nice but is also a bit restrictive as far as walking space is concerned.

I loved it, especially sitting outside. The beef tendon in wine created a good counterbalance with the Chirashi box. Very creative good, very tasty, even if the fish wasn’t among the best in the city. I’ll come back to try more stuff.

Tremendous taste and value. The portions were plentiful and the tastes were fantastic. The crunchiness of the Japanese fried chicken really set the mood. Furthermore the sushi rice had a richness to it. The complementary barley tea was the perfect palate cleanser (not to mention the cup was wonderful to warm our hands while we waited it to cool off).

Nice Japanese restaurant in Fort Greene. I had the vegetarian ramen, which was good. It was filling and not too salty, which I really liked. I also had the mushroom sushi, which was also good. They have a lot of lunch specials, so would recommend going here during lunch. They also give you tea, which is always a plus.

The lady serving us was lovely but unfortunately the food was mweh. The dumplings didn’t had much taste unless you eat it with lots of sauce and the noodles weren’t great either. Lots of flies in the outside seating area as well
