We stopped in to eat dinner. We got the crab dip for our appetizer and it was really good. DH got the shrimp burger. He said it was ok. I got the crabcakes which I thought were fairly good. My daughter got the fried shrimp plate and she really liked it. The sweet potato casserole was good as well. The staff was very nice and polite. They came to check on us several times. The food was ready quickly.

We were greeted with a smile. The restaurant was not very busy because we went early but I can’t imagine them not being extremely busy every night. They are just as good if not better than the Dixie Queen. I ordered my shrimp fried lightly, and they were cooked to perfection.

The only good thing I can say about Washington Crab is the girls working in the front of the house are friendly and attentive.

We did not enjoy our experience tonight. The Wish version of the Washington location. Crab cakes were cold and mushy. “Bay Fries” were crinkle fries with very very little seasoning (barely warm), I didn’t get the special price for my sandwich, they brought the food in to go containers/bags when we asked to eat there (it was close to closing time but they offered to dine in or take out when we placed our order). Spent $50 (we got a crab dip which was good) and we were very much unimpressed. My husband couldn’t finish his crab cakes and said they were the worst he’s had- and he doesn’t waste food and loves to eat. He said “I’ve never had a crab cake I couldn’t finish or that I didn’t like”. Also there was no music playing and very few customers so it was very awkward in there. The cashier did not seem happy to be there at all. A server told the couple next to us that they were out of hush puppies for the night….my thing is, MAKE SOME MORE. I’m sad that this whole experience wasn’t what we had hoped for at all.

1 word review would be “meh” . Found it overpriced for the quality . Service was slow and we had to get up several times to get our drinks refilled. Atmosphere is bland. Went once to try it out, will not be returning.

We have eaten at least 6 times here! No negative issues! Staff super helpful and always friendly. The flounder always fresh tasting and fried to perfection. The soft-shell crab also, excellent! We enjoy the cold slaw and potato salad very much! Just a little advice! Be there early for mealtime! This is going to be the destination spot for fresh seafood in this area! Not a perfect world, so give them time to iron out any issues. This is not a fast-food restaurant! (Thankfully!) 🙂

Worst seafood I’ve ever had. The crab cakes were horrible, mushy and taste like it was cooked in old grease. I rarely throw away crab cakes or seafood in general no matter how bad but I could not finish these. Fried shrimp taste like rubber and barely breaded or seasoned. Green beans taste like a plastic container. There was an aftertaste. The blue crab dip was not good at all. Everyone at the table that had crab cakes, only had taken one bite before asking to replace it. We were told they would replace it this one time but were also told this is NC, not Maryland. Why was that comment necessary??? We waited another 30 minutes and they never brought out our replacement food. Kept walking by and looking at us and brought out everybody’s food but ours. We left and will probably never return.

We’ve been twice and both times the food was fantastic. The staff is friendly. I’ve tried a couple different things, but the oysters are my favorite.
