Washington Square bar and grill made an unexpected highlight to our wedding day! We were inside the Elliott Building taking pictures and when we came out we met the most amazing bartender who gave us a shot to toast our special day. He literally treated us like family, so much so that our photographer and videographer thought that we were old friends from before. He truly made us feel like the city of Buffalo and its amazing people treat you like family. I can’t wait to return one day to thank him for making this moment so memorable 🙂

Made it sound better online. I don’t feel it is a good place for families. Music was loud. Staff was friendly, but they definitely cater to the drinkers and people going to Salens stadium. Ordered three sodas. Took over 10 minutes. Ordered food took an hour. Even though it was loud my son who is a teenager fell asleep. Maybe he was given an alcoholic beverage. Bathrooms were disgusting port a potty would have been better.

We stopped in for the first time since 2019. The wings were exactly as we remembered! The service was still friendly! The menu is a bit different. The French Onion Soup, clams casino and the Antipasto Salad is no longer available. Those were some of my favourite items… but the wings were great!

Been there a few times but the last time was THE BEST! We go before Bisons games as it’s right across the street. New owners (this was last summer), they were beyond hospitable, we had a blast. Best blue cheese ever.

Not open when it’s supposed to be. I wanted to grab a bite to eat while waiting for my transfer bus at the nearby Greyhound station, at 11:30 AM on Saturday. The hours listed on google say that it opens at 8:00 AM, and their own website states that it opens at 11:00 AM, yet it was closed.

This is not the Washington Square we all know and love. Staff is amazing but not enough of them. Limited menu on game night not all the favourites the square is known for. I heard there are new owners but going to lose the regulars once word gets out. Wings and splits still great.

Was in last week week for a meal before the hockey game, and service took forever. We waited over 45 minutes for chicken wings, and the pre game rush had already cleared out. Waitress told us 3x over 10 minutes food was just being finished and would be out in a minute, but continued to bring orders of others out. The last few times I have been in, it feels understaffed, and no where near the quality they used to provide.
