I got the farm fresh eggs with angus chopped steak. It was delicious! The angus chopped steak is basically a burger patty, which I was not expecting, but it was good nonetheless. I got the sweet potato hash browns as a side which were very unique. I really liked them. I would highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast.

This was a fantastic place. We hadn’t been to this part of NH in a number of years and we were very happy to see that there are now great breakfast eateries! The staff were very attentive and friendly. While we were able to be seated right away and put our order in soon after. There was a very long wait to get our food (30-45 mins), due to the kitchen having gotten backed up…that’s why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It was however very worth the wait, as long as you have the time.

My husband ordered prime rib with eggs and potatoes today. The small slice of prime rib was half fat. When he inquired, the extremely nice waitress spoke to the owner Ethan who promptly said that’s how prime rib comes. We realize there will be some fat, but not half the portion. I would never serve that to a customer. Beware of their prime rib. Beware of how they treat their customers.

I didn’t want to like this place. We were exhausted from a concert in Gilbert NH the night before. Left the AirBnB right at check out time and chose Water Street Cafe based on Google Maps reviews. I went in before our group (there were seven of us in total). Figured I could get us on the “wait list.” There were two groups of two in front of us and I figured we would be fine. Then waited…and waited…and waited…the staff appeared to be hurrying along but not one of them acknowledged me. The rest of my group wasn’t there so I didn’t make a fuss about it. I waited a little bit longer and nothing. I was getting kinda of anxious (to not say upset) but figured I was also hangry. My husband came in and we were still not acknowledged. Finally someone came around, brought one of the couples (that were waiting) their take out order and asked how many in our party. We were seated probably 10-15 minutes after that and it was a complete service transformation, to my amazement and pleasure! We were given the most absolute excellent service. So engaging, genuine, honest. Really appreciated it. I thought this was definitely going to be one of my very few bad reviews and glad it ended up being such a great experience! Food and drinks will speak for themselves, especially if you follow the suggestions from your server (ours has a son in the service who has also done Spartan races like our group has – she was so good at relating to us!).

So nice, we dined here not twice but thrice! We never had to wait for a table. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was the best we had dining in the area. Ciara our waitress is an absolute credit to Water St. She was warm, welcoming, and extremely attentive. For a hot summer day, to keep our glasses of water full spoke volumes of her service. The orange cranberry french toast was delicious and the Monte Cristo is well worth the hype!
