The ambience and atmosphere were very nice along with the staff. Happy Hour is daily from 3-6. We ordered the Volcano roll (originally $19) a Spicy Salmon Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll along with Tuna and Salmon Nigiri which are not on the happy hour menu. The quality of the fish is pretty solid for South Texas and was impressive. However, the sushi rice was a bit hard making the sushi dry. We were able to get the Volcano roll for $9.5 which is fair but $19 being the original price is pretty wild. Overall the experience was solid during happy hour and if you’re in the area craving sushi. I’m sure the other seafood options at Water Street are good quality.

Best seafood in town and acceptable prices, sort of. But compared to other restaurants in the area, the oysters, shrimp, and fish are fresh guaranteed. Make sure you ennjoy 1/2 price off on oysters on half shell and sushi (dine in). Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Sarah was my friend at the bar and she’s been graceful and answered my questions with great info. Great chef; the caliente soup was excellent with health loaded ingredients. Loved it! It continues to be my favorite in spite of shrunken space and hiked up prices…

Was invited to have dinner with some friends here but, I had ordered desert because I had eaten early, the Key Lime Pie was very delicious and I would definitely order it again. I hope next time i get to try some entrees.

Volcano roll was great, tasty. Dragon roll was ok, the seared on the outside salmon was a weird texture which I didnt care for. Tea needed more ice, ice was almost gone when I recieved it, in 5 minutes the tea was warm. Flies swarm you due to the dirty tables with leftover food being left a long time (the table next to us was cleared as we were finishing the meal and there was no one there when we had arrived) Waitstaff have to go up a steep flight of stairs which i feel likely impacts service as they are quite steep. Felt it could have been better for the price and salmon fresher.

Very crowded Friday lunch. The service was good, the appetizers were also. We had the stuffed mushrooms and the shrimp. My blackened chicken fettuccini was ok, a little heavy on the rosemary. The Ceasar salad wasn’t good.

The vive in this place is so “cute” those are the first words my teammate said. The concept is great, as you order the sushi at front and go find a place to seat in the second floor, then they bring it up to you.

Whenever we come downtown, my husband and I always say we should check this place out. This is always after stuffing our face at surf club haha and so we leave it to the next time. We decided to come here on Sunday and we were not disappointed. Prices are reasonable for good sushi! We got the classic rolls…Philadelphia Roll, spicy tuna, and a spicy salmon. All amazing. We will be back!
