The first dinner we stopped in for my husband ordered ribeye with truffle parmesan fries. It was cooked to perfection, per my husband. I ordered the veggie burger but it is vegetarian so that wasn’t going to work. Instead the chef was so generous he created a vegan meal just for me, an encrusted cauliflower steak with asparagus and arugula. It was so incredibly good we returned the following evening. This time their magnificent chef created a stuffed avacado over spinach and hummus dish that was phenomenal. I wish we lived closer so we could dine there often. Service was excellent and atmosphere is fantastic.

The food was great but staff needs training!! My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. My salmon was served almost raw and when I gave it back to my waitress she went and set it down on the counter, proceeded to take another tables order and get them their drinks before taking my raw salmon back to the kitchen. So my husband got to eat his meal alone… and while I waited the hostess came over and wanted to blame me for my undercooked salmon by saying I did not request it to be cooked well done – that that is how they cook it. I was like I am not taking responsibility for receiving undercooked salmon – if that is the way you cook it than you need to let your customers know that when they order. I eventually got my salmon and then I had to eat my dinner alone. Again, food was tasty and well presented but the staff needs some training on how to treat customers!

We are a little snobby when it comes to good food, especially Italian food as we are from the greater NYC area. But this restaurant really impressed us! The pasta is homemade, they do not skimp on seasoning. The menu is creative and delicious.

Excellent food, atmosphere, and wait staff. Luxury dining at affordable prices. The owner buys mostly from local farms as well. Everything is house-made including but not limited to sauces, ice cream, pasta. Food prices are easily comprable to other nearby restaurants. This is definitely one of my new favorites.

We went into the Waterlily on Saturday evening and sat down at the bar. We were greeted by Alisha… she was very friendly and extremely professional. We ordered 4 B52s…. Bailey’s, Kahlua and Grand Marnier….. absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! Any time you are in Marion Virginia head down to the Waterlily… you will be pleasantly SURPRISED!

We were at the Waterlily last Saturday night and after driving all day from MI. Tired and still had a couple more hours. Sat at the bar, food excellent but it was Alicia and the rest of the staff that made the dining so enjoyable!

I have heard the food is good but I wouldn’t know. I waited for a table for 40 minutes. I watched as larger groups wandered in and were seated in front of me because the restaurant didn’t want to give a table to a lone diner. I walked down the street and ate a great meal at the bbq place.
