We were in Portland for few days and we had dinner @Water bar & Grill. It’s a restaurant within Embassy Suites. We were only there for dinner. Friendly and professional staff. Great service. The location is ideal, with lots to do. Portland international airport is less than a mile and there’s a vast number of restaurants and hotels in this area. The food was great and a bit pricey. We had the lobster Mac n cheese , which was delicious. The chunks of lobster could have been cut smaller for my taste but It was good. Parking was for a fee, indicated by the mins. Since we’re not planning to be there long, we parked near by instead. Unsure if that’s different for their guests. The restaurant area was beautiful with a nice view of water display.

Hidden gem. First off we were greeted by Kendra, probably one of the best and nicest servers I have ever encountered. The appetizers, main courses, and deserts were all made to perfection. There was nothing we could complain about. I think this meal was about as perfect as possible. The chef preparing the food was incredible. Noteworthy drink Pina colada margarita, the salmon and halibut cooked to perfection. Fish and chips were great. If you are looking for a delicious meal with friendly staff in a beautiful setting. Stop here and eat. Complimentary parking when dining here. Check in with the front desk.

Stayed at this hotel on a work trip. Ordered food to go and the cooks plated it. When the runner told the cook that it’s a to go order he grabbed a box and picked up the food with his hand and placed it in the container!!!!

Generous well drinks, priced accordingly. The bar is inside an Embassy Suites, and the grill service comes from the restaurant. We had chicken and Reuben sandwiches — both very good — and again, generous, but if you’re a 24 year old male, they’re probably perfect. Atmosphere is the usual ES atrium. The hotel also offers complimentary two-drink happy hour service with hors d’oeuvres in a separate barroom (generic booze). Personally, Waters B & G is the better deal unless standing in long lines for a generic free drink is your thing.

Kendra was our waitress, we came for my bday dinner, Kendra was so attentive and made sure we liked everything, and then gave me a free dessert for my bday. The price of the rib eye was a bit more than I’m used to but it’s ok it was really good and so was the potato’s and asparagus.

Great food, high prices. The quality of the dishes was good but I’m not convinced they’re worth the price. The hotel it’s in is nice but somewhat dated, they’re renovating rooms so I assume the rest of the hotel will get a facelift at some point.

The food and service is excellent. Generally most airport hotel restaurants are good enough to fill you up before bed or between meetings. Waters, however is a secret exception. The food is really good and modestly priced for the location. I have eaten here many times but with the latest menu change it would be a sin to keep a kind review to myself. Very well done. Keep up the good work!!
