The food is amazing and very tasty. The atmosphere is so welcoming and homey; the staff is friendly and reminds you of family. The chicken wings are delicious, the dirty rice I ordered is amazing, and I cannot say enough about the cornbread!!!!! Come get some home cooked soul food!!

The joint did not have the old Long John’s Silver look or feel. It was a vibrant and colorful place with a very authentic mural with a great NoLa look and feel. Even the sticky floors reminded me of the south. I had the Chef Special and the catfish was juicy with a great thin breading. The wings were supposed to be hot and spicy but tasted more like sweet and spicy. The gumbo had a excellent tasting thin roux with yummy sausage and chicken. However it was missing a bit of the holy trinity with no okra or celery. I was a bit disappointed. Yolanda was a great host and is the reason for an extra star and a half.
