If you’re looking for a country diner with super friendly service, Wayne & Nancy’s is the jam! My husband was especially excited to find homemade biscuits and gravy and real country ham. He said the biscuits were made just like his Mom’s, and he really enjoyed the steak biscuit as well. My son devoured his french toast and my western omelet was good. As for ambience, don’t let the fact that it’s located in a convenience store deter you. Highly recommend for the food, service and value!

Awful. I haven’t a clue why others rate it so high. Chicken livers overcooked, dry, and served luke warm. I asked for a burger cooked rare and it came out well done. You’d think they wouldn’t want to waste meat by cooking it any old way they please, only to make it over again. When I sent it back, the waitress said the cook told her they won’t cook rare. I should have been notified of that before cooking it so I could choose something else. This is an unacceptable way of doing business. I got the chicken casserole as a substitute and it was waaaay too salty. Mashed potatoes were the instant variety and made with just water. No milk. I thought restaurants gave up on instant mashed potatoes years ago anyway.

Very sweet staff! Good food. I really enjoyed the salad, cornbread, green beans, and sweet tea. I look forward to going a second time and trying some other menu items. They nail Appalachian staples from what i’ve tried.
