Good Ole Corn Good Ole Corn
It’s worth noting that the chicken tenders are not actually your typical crispy fried chicken. Also, the jivin sauce is not all that.

From out of town but went to the NW167th location. Ordered three plates and the food and presentation was good. No long wait time either. Only downside (reason for 4 stars) was the rice was a little crispy/hard but had good flavor. Lemonade was good too and served in big 24oz cup. Dominique took our order and was sweet and helpful!

I was not happy at all with this visit. I orders from 167 street the Grits was cold, I can’t even describe the taste of the fish. The mac and cheese was cold not even sure how that was possible cuts it was burnt to the bottom as well. Only thing that was ok on the plate was the shrimp. The lemonade taste like sour water wasn’t even color to the lemonade

I love to support mom and pop’s establishments bc they tend to have great food and great customer service. This place is no exception in regards to great taste. Only gets 3 stars bc everytime I come I have to wait 20-30 min for my order to be taken or even for someone to come out from the back and food is cooked to order so there’s additional wait. Enough of the bad customer service. FOOD IS ON POINT. Jivin Wings were fried to perfection, mac and cheese was cheesy but not heart attack cheesy and greens had flavor w/o any meat. Fish was great the grits were lacking for a place that has a New Orleans signature. Cake was moist. Food 4.5/5 customer service 2/5

I ordered from the Taft Street location for these dinners but both spots are good. These were ALL delicious. Fried Ribs with Jivin sauce, Jivin Grilled Shrimp with fries and grits and Fried Tilapia. The greens Mac and Yams good too. The food is always good here and try the Moonshine cake if they have it. You’re Welcome.

I wish I could give 10 stars! This restaurant is the standard. Even when I got home and ate my food cold (yes, don’t judge) it was STILL amazing.

So today my husband and I wanted to try this place out. We went to the Pembroke Pines location. The jivin juice was delicious. The chicken wings was ok, the fish and grits was ok we liked the fish but the grits was alright. I had the shrimp dinner the collard greens and Mac and cheese needed flavor. The gumbo was not gumbo it was soup. Instead of white rice they gave the same rice in the shrimp dinner I think it’s called Cajun rice. It’s not gumbo without a roux and file or saffron. My only critique is that the music was very loud I had to keep saying huh to the cashier and I kept shouting to place my order. The music should be light not loud and shouting.

Just OUTSTANDING! Anyone who says this food isn’t the best is flat our lying or has no taste buds! Love Misha and Dolly’s caring hospitality! The food portions are so generous it may take two days to eat it! We went to the opening of the new location in Pembrook Pines and it was a party!! So much to choose from that we ordered everything and on our way back for more with our cousins visiting from NC! Go get you some Babies!!

A real soul food spot. Very true to their name and motto. The “granddaddy” meal was amazing.
