I don’t understand the glowing reviews other than to assume they’ve bought 5 star reviews. My chili cheese dogs were mediocre and my fries weren’t crispy or tasty. I was given three small ketchup packets as my condiments. The prices aren’t cheap and there’s an open dumpster nearby that reeks. The only cheese they have is sliced cheese.

Amazing food and super nice staff. Great hot dogs and half smokes. The onion rings are incredible and the thick cut fries are almost as good. Definitely recommend for lunch or dinner, but have not had breakfast.

I’ve been stopping by for the half smokes for almost 2 decades now. They are a DC cultural experience and few places otherwise have them. The snap, mildly Smokey flavor and juiciness of the sausages are great! The chili sauce has a mild but spot on flavor and I enjoy adding minced onion and mustard.

Old school menu and the 10 commandments posted outside; you can tell this place is going to be great just from the looks of it. Another sign it’s great is their Bologna, egg, and cheese sandwich; where else can you get that? It’s so good. Hash browns are good. Do yourself a favor and get a sandwich from the weenie beenie.

This place has the best comfort food. Their chili dogs and chili smokes cannot be beat (yes better than Ben’s Chili bowl and less expensive also). . And their chopped Carolina BBQ is excellent. I just wish they had indoor seating.
